Predicted 4-2-3-1 Everton XI to face Brighton in the Premier League

Everton will be playing host to Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League on Saturday after a 2-1 loss against Manchester United away from home last weekend.

It hasn’t been a great start to the season for the Toffees, winning only four of their first ten games. Marco Silva’s men sit 9th in the standings and they will be looking to improve on that when they face the Seagulls at home.

However, it’s not going to be a walk in the park against a Brighton side that is high on confidence after a 1-0 win over Wolves in their last fixture.

Team News

Yerry Mina has been declared fit to play and might make his Premier League debut this weekend but James McCarthy is yet to regain match fitness after recovering from his long-term injury.

There aren’t any significant injuries and suspensions for Marcol Silva to contend with and the manager will have the entire squad of players at his disposal for selection.

Predicted XI

Jordan Pickford (GK)

The English international made some wonderful saves last week and has always been a reliable presence between the sticks.

Seamus Coleman (RB)

He was poor in the last game and will need to find his feet this weekend to keep his place in the team.

Kurt Zouma (CB)

He has been quite solid at the back this season but wasn’t at his best in the last game.

Michael Keane (CB)

His aerial presence across the backline is a valuable asset to the Toffees and he should improve on his performance in the last game.

Lucas Digne (LB)

The Frenchman has been solid at the back and has contributed to the attack with some delightful crosses into the box.

Andre Gomes (CDM)

Calm and composed in possession and excellent with his passing and ball distribution- he is likely to play an important role for the Toffees.

Idrissa Gana Gueye (CDM)

His physicality and tenacity in the central areas of the pitch is a valuable asset to the team.

Theo Walcott (RW)

He has blown hot and cold in patches but the manager should know that he has the ability to change the game with flashes of brilliance.

Bernard (LW)

The Brazilian has shown a lot of energy and flair down the left but the manager will be expecting him to work on his final pass.

Gylfi Sigurdsson (CAM)

He is Everton’s main man in the midfield. He has been in tremendous form, scoring five goals and his involvement as a supporting forward will be crucial to the team’s success.
