The Placekicker was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, but his parents moved to Florida in 2001 when Joseph was 7 years old. He was a religiously raised kid and believed in Judaism. He tried his foot in both football and soccer at Donna Klein Jewish Academy. Later, when he joined the American Heritage School he represent both his high school football and soccer teams. His amazing talent made him enter the all-county and all-state teams in both sports. Joseph took his decision of life when he realized that choosing football over soccer will fetch him a college scholarship.
The decision served his way, the South African-born got admission to the Florida Atlantic University. But sadly, he was red-shirted his whole freshman year. After becoming active, he showed great athleticism for his college side and ended up as the all-time leader in terms of field goals, points scored, and point after touchdown. He scored the longest field goal in the history of the Owls’ which is 54 yards long. In 2017, he got graduated with a degree in exercise science and health promotion and later he also completed his MBA from FAU in 2019.

Joseph entered the NFL draft in 2018, but sadly no teams showed interest in picking him. As a light in the dark, the Miami Dolphins signed him as a free agent later that year. He got only three chances on the turf and showed his dynamic by converting all three kicks during the preseason. Dolphins parted ways with the placekicker in September 2018.
Just after a few days of leaving Miami, Joseph signed a one-year- deal with Cleveland Browns. During the 5th week’s game, the placekicker scored his first-ever game-winning field goal far from 37 yards to help his side defeat the Baltimore Ravens. 2018 ended as a wholesome season for him, where he converted 17 of his 20 field goal attempts and scored 25 extra points. He didn’t stop with that his touchback percentage was an impressive 68.1%.
After a one-year stint, the Browns released him from the club in 2019 replacing Austin Seibert. The kicker was with the Carolina Panthers practice squad, before signing a one-year contract with the Tennessee Titans. He performed to his best in all given chances including a 30-yard field goal in the AFC championship game against the Chiefs. His in-and-out story continued, as the Titans too said goodbye to the kicker in 2020.
