Here’s a look at the Halle Open 2022 semifinal preview between Nick Kyrgios vs Hubert Hurkacz which will take place on Saturday, June 18th.
Halle Open 2022: Nick Kyrgios’ tournament so far
Nick Kyrgios beat Pablo Carreno Busta in an exciting straight sets match on Friday. The Australian pulled out all the trick shots from his armoury to beat the Spaniard 6-4, 6-2 in a contest that lasted just over an hour. Kyrgios has got some good momentum at the German tournament so far. He beat Daniel Altmaier in straight sets in the opening round, before rallying past second seed Stefanos Tsitsipas in three sets in the Round of 16.
Halle Open 2022: Hubert Hurkacz’s tournament so far
On the other hand, Hubert Hurkacz beat Felix Auger-Aliassime in a tense battle 7-6 (7-2), 7-6 (7-4) to make his way into the semifinal of the Halle Open. The Pole endured a rather difficult three-set win over Maxime Cressy in the first round before getting the better of Ugo Humbert in straight sets in the last 16. The 25-year-old is now expected to face another monumental challenge in the form of an in-form Nick Kyrgios on Saturday.

Head to Head and Prediction
Kyrgios and Hurkacz have never faced each other on the ATP circuit before and Saturday’s encounter will be their first meeting. However, given that Kyrgios looks to be picking some much-needed momentum before the Wimbledon, our prediction is a win in three sets for the Australian.
