Here is everything you need to know about the upcoming Halo Infinite Cyber Showdown event including the start date and rewards.
While the single-player half of 343 Industries’ shooter was released in December, the competitive online mode was released a few weeks early to coincide with Xbox’s 20th anniversary. As a result, fans have had a few months to immerse themselves in the Halo Infinite multiplayer experience, learning all of the map layouts, mastering every weapon, and grinding their way through the challenging battle pass.
There haven’t been many major upgrades to the game yet (343 was presumably more committed to delivering that campaign), but there have been a few events to keep folks entertained. The Winter Contingency event featured a multitude of Christmas-related gifts, while Fracture: Tenrai provided you the chance to obtain a fearsome samurai armor set. The Cyber Showdown event, which will take place this week, is next on the schedule. Here’s everything you need to know about the event, including when it starts and what you can win.
On January 18, 2022, the Halo Infinite Cyber Showdown will begin. While neither 343 nor Xbox have made any official announcements, based on the start times of both Fracture Tenrai and Winter Contingency, Cyber Showdown is most expected to begin at 1 p.m. EST.
It’s worth noting that 343 Industries hasn’t verified the playlists or payouts for Cyber Showdown. These data, however, have been leaked online and are confirmed by what we see in the teaser and thumbnail for the associated YouTube video.
You must play Attrition, King of the Hill (KOTH), Capture the Flag (CTF), and Slayer battles to earn the limited-time cosmetics. You will receive the following rewards if you gain XP in various game modes during the event:
Event Rank | Reward |
Rank 1 | New Stance |
Rank 2 | Pink Weapon Coating |
Rank 3 | New Name Plate Backdrop |
Rank 4 | Rocking Brute Emblem |
Rank 5 | Holographic Visor (Armor FX) |
Rank 6 | Pink Armor Coating |
Rank 7 | Knife Weapon Trinket |
Rank 8 | New Armor Visor |
Rank 9 | New A.I. Color (Dark Orange) |
Rank 10 | Holographic Mohawk (Armor FX) |
It’s excellent to see that the battle pass simply includes aesthetic things and doesn’t offer challenge exchanges like the prior event passes did. Halo Infinite Multiplayer is free to play on the Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Xbox app.
