Andrade hasn’t been seen on TV in recent months and reports claim he has asked for his contract to be terminated by WWE and released by the company
Things don’t seem to be going great for Andrade, a former NXT Champion, in WWE. He was having a decent time in a heel stable alongside Zelina Vega and Angel Garza but that was broken up.
Vega was then released by WWE due to some disputes but she has been doing great work on Twitch.
Andrade and Garza were taken off TV for a while but one of them is yet to return. Garza has been repackaged a bit but Andrade hasn’t been seen on TV at all.
The former NXT Champion is one of the best talents in WWE but reports (h/t Wrestling Inc) suggested that he wanted a release from the company.
This took place after the recent Raw episode but it seems that WWE are willing to keep Andrade and honour his contract.
F4Wonline (h/t Wrestling Inc) confirmed that Andrade was staying put in WWE and would remain under contract.
The last time Andrade appeared on WWE was back in October 2020. He was attacked by The Fiend before the Draft and well, he wasn’t drafted on any brand.
Andrade has teased a new gimmick in recent months but it is to be seen what happens with him. He is also a former US Champion and has been working out a lot to stay in shape.
The former NXT Champion is currently engaged to Charlotte Flair and the pair have shared a lot of photos together.
However, Charlotte has been doing a lot of work on Raw and she is desperate to win the Raw Women’s title.
WWE has lost a lot of talent to AEW and keeping Andrade on his contract could be one way to ensure he doesn’t end up there.
The brand does have a lot of top stars that just aren’t getting regular TV time despite there being three shows weekly.
Murphy is another one who voiced his displeasure recently but he has been getting some minutes on TV in recent weeks.
Aleister Black, the husband of Vega, is another that has been taken off TV abruptly. The Dutch star went missing soon after Vega was released and there is no confirmation of when he is to return.
Andrade, according to reports, was unhappy on Raw last week. He took things further by removing WWE from his Twitter account, which led to his blue tick being removed too.
He also posted a cryptic message of what the future holds for him and these are interesting times for the 31-year-old.
