“He passed Michael Jordan 3 seasons ago, and he is going to add to that” –When NBA Champion Richard Jefferson backed up LeBron James as the greatest scorer of all-time

LeBron James was at the receiving end of praises from a NBA Champion

NBA champion Richard Jefferson has become the latest ex-NBA player to shower the highest praise on LeBron James, as he called the Los Angeles Lakers star as the greatest scorer of all time in the history of the NBA.

Jefferson who won the NBA Championship with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016 and turned out for several franchises in his 17-year-long career showered ultimate praise on “King James” as he called James the greatest scorer of all time in NBA history.

Speaking on a talk show on the Fubo Sports Network, Jefferson called James the greatest scorer of all time and backed it up by pointing out that James passed Michael Jordan’s scoring record 3 seasons ago.

Jefferson said that James is going to add on to that, and will probably be on his way to break Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s record next.

WHAT WAS JEFFERSON’S JUSTIFICATION BEHIND HIS STATEMENT?

Jefferson pointed out the fact that James is already the top scorer of all time in the NBA Play-Offs having overtaken Michael Jordan on the chart three years ago.

Up next for James is Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s all-time scoring record, and with the 37-year-old set to be in the NBA for another two years at least, the record is very much in sight.

In discussion with former NBA player Gilbert Arenas, Jefferson stated one of the prevalent notions about James is that he is not a primary scorer but his record of racking up an average of 25 points a game for 15 years says otherwise.

Jefferson also brought up LeBron’s longevity that has got him where he is at right now.

Despite more prevalent names like Steph Curry, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, James Harden, Kevin Durant, and Kobe Bryant in the all-time greatest scorers conversation, Jefferson backed the four-time NBA champion as the greatest scorer of all time and his justification sure has some solid logic attached to it.
