Will Helldivers 2 launch for Xbox? Find out what the Head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, says about the new shooter game.
Helldivers 2, the third-person shooter from Arrowhead Game Studios just released and broke several records on Steam. The multiplayer shooter game has created record sales on Steam amidst huge hype. Helldivers 2 is a fast-paced action shooter and you have to join with three Helldivers in the galaxy and overcome the alien threats.
In Helldivers 2, the major task is to defeat aliens and save the galaxy. You can play Helldivers 2 in third-person perspective, and use explosive tools, weapons, and stratagems to tackle alien forces. Helldivers can explore the world together invade enemy’s planets and steal resources. Your goal is to save the hostile galaxy from alien threats and there are new features and mechanics in this Helldivers sequel.
Helldivers 2 offers firearms, pistols, explosive guns, cluster bombs, and sentry guns. With a new armor system and weaponry, Helldivers are in for a treat. Helldivers 2 also offers cross-play and lets PC and PlayStation 5 players explore the galaxy together. With upgraded features and technologies, Helldivers 2 has not been launched for Xbox. Helldivers 2 not getting released for Xbox has not gone well with Phil Spencer, the CEO of Microsoft Gaming and Head of Xbox.
Phil Spencer, the executive of Microsoft has been in awe of Helldivers 2 success on Steam and PlayStation. Phil Spencer congratulated the team of Helldivers 2 and said it’s a great game. But he’s also expressed his disappointment with Helldivers 2 not being launched for Xbox.
Speaking to the Game File, Phil Said “When I look at Helldivers 2, I am pleased with its success on PC and PlayStation and congratulate the development team, but I wonder who in the game industry benefits from the game not being released on Xbox”. With this strong statement from Phil Spencer, one can expect the trend of console games getting launched on other platforms. Xbox users can hope that Helldivers 2 will get released for Xbox in the near future.
Phil Spencer also confirmed that four Xbox exclusive games will head over to other consoles in the latest Xbox podcast and the team has also hinted on a new Xbox hardware. The four games that will be going multi-platform are yet to be revealed by the Xbox team and Phil Spencer has affirmed that they are not Starfield or Indiana Jones.
