Predicted Crystal Palace XI to face West Ham in the Premier League
Crystal Palace lost momentum with a humiliating 3-1 defeat at the hands of Brighton after a couple of positive results against Manchester United and Burnley.
Roy Hodgson’s men are currently 15th in the standings and they will be desperate to get back to winning ways when they face London rivals West Ham on Saturday.
West Ham beat Cardiff City 3-1 on Tuesday and the Hammers will be the favourites to bag all three points from this one as well to make it three wins out of three.
Team News
Christian Benteke is ruled out with a knee injury while Scott Dann and Conor Wickham are doubtful to make it to the matchday squad for the weekend game.
Formation: 4-4-2
Manager: Roy Hodgson
Predicted XI
1. Wayne Hennessey (GK)
He was hardly at fault for any of the goals against Brighton and has always been a reliable presence between the sticks.
2. Aaron Wan-Bissaka (RB)
The youngster struggled to cope with Brighton’s attackers in the last game and he will be expected to do better against West Ham.
3. James Tomkins (CB)
The former West Ham man had a nightmarish outing in the last game and was outpaced by Florin Andone for the third goal.
4. Mamadou Sakho (CB)
He made a few good tackles in the last game but made some basic defensive errors and he will need to put in a better performance on Saturday.
5. Patrick van Aanholt (LB)
He was caught out of position several times and needs to work on his defensive game.
6. James McArthur (RM)
He didn’t make any noteworthy contribution against Brighton and gave away a penalty. Hodgson has every reason to expect better things from him.
7. Cheikhou Kouyate (CDM)
The Senegalese midfielder has been in good form in recent weeks but failed to impress against Brighton and will need to rise to the occasion on Saturday.
8. Luka Milivojevic (CDM)
The Serb was well-below par against Brighton not for the first time this season and he will need to step up his game to counter Declan Rice on Saturday.
9. Max Meyer (LM)
He put up a good show against Burnley but struggled to get into the game against Brighton and Hodgson will be expecting him to be more consistent.
10. Andros Townsend (ST)
He will be expected to come up with better end product against West Ham.
