NBA YoungBoy, real name Kentrell DeSean Gaulden, is a 23-year-old American rapper. He produced eight self-funded mixtapes between 2015 and 2017 and progressively built a devoted fan base.
The 23-year-old signed with Atlantic Records around the end of 2017. His song “Outside Today” debuted in January 2018 and peaked at No. 31 on the Billboard Hot 100. His first studio album, Until Death, Call My Name (2018), including this song as the first single, reached number seven on the US Billboard 200.
Gaulden’s first top-ten hit, “Bandit” (with Juice Wrld), was released in October 2019. AI YoungBoy 2 (2019) was released a week later and immediately went to the top of the Billboard 200.
He released 38 Baby 2 in April 2020, and it quickly became his second number-one album on the Billboard 200. Top (2020), Gaulden’s second studio album, was released later that year and became his third consecutive number-one album in less than a year.
With the release of Sincerely, Kentrell (2021) in September 2021, he became just the third artist in history, behind 2Pac and Lil Wayne, to have a chart-topping album while serving time in prison.
NBA YoungBoy and kids
The Last Slimeto (2022), his fourth studio album, was released in August 2022 and his last with Atlantic Records. Motown Records signed Gaulden in late 2022. I Rest My Case (2023) was his debut album for Motown and his sixth overall. It was released in January 2023.
Despite his achievements, Gaulden’s career has been distinguished by a string of legal problems that started in 2016. These problems resulted in Gaulden’s publication of many works while he was in jail. He is also famous for being the father of 11 children from nine different mothers at such a young age. And it is evident from his actions that he shows his caring nature toward his children.
Recently, he welcomed his eleventh child. Despite being married to Jazlyn Mychelle, the 23-year-old is said to have had his eleventh kid with his ninth baby’s mom.
