A huge high school basketball game took place on Monday night with the sons of LeBron James taking on the son of Carmelo Anthony.

While Anthony hasn’t played basketball since leaving the Lakers last season, LeBron is still starring for the Los Angeles team as he looks to win a fifth NBA title.

Both need to think about their next generations and the pair have been at several college games over the past year.

Carmelo was present to watch Kiyan, his 15-year-old son play but the youngster’s team lost. Kiyan’s team was up against Bronny and Bryce James’ Sierra Canyon and it was a match that several kept a close eye on.

Sierra Canyon defeated Christ the King College 62-51, but it wasn’t the only talking point of the game.

LeBron, Melo and the children all posed as the trio of teens look to make the next step and inch closer to a career in professional basketball.

Is Carmelo Anthony returning to the NBA?

Melo is a free agent and there has been a lot of talk about him possibly returning to a team in the future.

The former Laker, however, isn’t fretting about not being in the NBA now. He spoke regarding his future and claimed he was just going to let things play out.

Melo has a lot of quality still left in him. However, his age could be the major factor if a team goes in for him or not.

The 38-year-old played in 69 regular season games for the Lakers last season. However, he started only three.

He managed 13.3 points per game during his final year in LA, and a young team looking for a wise head could be the best option for Melo.
