In this guide, we will tell you how to beat Astel Elden Ring. This is a difficult boss fight, so read the guide carefully.
There is a tree called the “Erdtree” in the realms ruled by Queen Marika, who was once a mortal human but has now attained the title of “Eternal,” and is home to spirit-like creatures known as “grace.” The Elden Ring is actually that tree and the graces are inside of it. The queen has blessed her offspring -all twelve of them –(five daughters and seven sons) with these “powers”-unlocking their potential to be immortal gods.
Each child took a shard to be worn around their neck and every time they used this grace or power they became increasingly more powerful than they already were until eventually they went mad with power and broke into conflict with each other. This is known as “The Shattering”. Similarly, there are so many bosses in the game that are very strong and it takes a lot to fight against them. Today, we are going to tell you about one of the most difficult bosses in the game.
Astel, Naturalborn of the Void is a boss who deals massive damage to any players who come into contact with it. That’s why when going up against it, you need to be fully prepared for the fight with good armor and weapons. It will only take one hit before your health bar drains entirely. Therefore, you need to avoid that at all costs.
How to beat Astel Elden Ring
Astel has just one phase, but don’t be fooled – this bird is sure to fly and strike you before you can even get close. Likewise, her ability to hide in the clouds might make it hard for you to be certain where he is. The best technique to eliminate Astel is practicing your attacks before getting overwhelmed by her spirit’s force.
Astel’s attacks could kill you or drop your Hp low enough that it will make the fight feel like a whole new challenge. Imagine 100 sub-characters who are essentially level items. This can be very difficult, especially if you don’t know what to look out for.
Once you get close, lock onto Astel and start attacking. This time, if you stay under Astel by far enough, the boss will try to summon a purple bomb which will deal damage all around it. While the bomb is preparing to explode, Astel will teleport further back into the arena requiring you to make yet another trip to it before beginning again. From this point forward, Astel will start creating purple orbs before every attack.
The shape and direction of each attack vary, so keep an eye on the orbs to anticipate where they’re going to land. The most dangerous attack is a three-hit combo where each strike will spawn a circle on the ground, expanding outward with each one. Simply time your dodges or run away to avoid the explosion. The key to avoiding this attack is that Astel starts levitating high in the air and creates purple orbs in all six of its arms before landing and delivering the one-two-three explosions.
Deadly stage
At this stage in the battle, Astel is close to death and therefore is on a rampage. He wants to end his life quickly but before that happens he decides to spread what little power he has left around him with an attack called Anti Gravity, which will send you flying up in the air before you land hard back onto the ground. This attack cannot be avoided and even if you dodge it at first there’s nothing you can do when you fall besides take all of your remaining HP away.
Luckily, during this attack, a certain number of pillars can be seen forming around him. These pillars are tiny but they let you know where to look out for the next time the Anti Gravity attack begins so that you will be able to escape it beforehand by sidestepping away from the boss. This will make it less harmful. This is how to beat Astel Elden Ring.
What to do after the fight?
Once Astel is down, a Site of Grace will appear and an exit just behind where the boss was will become available. This includes one leading to a sealed area that can only be opened after acquiring the Dark Moon Ring which you can receive during Ranni’s quest near the end.
If you don’t have the ring, grab it from the Raya Lucaria Grand Library. Having this will allow you to enter the treasury where the lost moon key is kept. Use that key to unlock the doors that lead down to Limgrave as well as break a seal on one of the pressure plates leading in that direction. The plate triggers an elevator that takes you to a part of Limgrave you can’t otherwise reach, and there you can complete Ranni’s quest and unlock access to everything connected with the Age of Stars ending.
