Elden Ring has a plethora of challenges and fights. Boss fights have always been the best in the game. There are various bosses that you need to fight in certain levels to progress in Elden Ring. Some bosses are optional, some are non-optional, and some are secret bosses. Astel, Naturalborn of the Void is one of the toughest bosses and is also an optional boss. Astel spawns in Grand Cloister and you need to defeat the Astel boss to complete both Moonlight Altar and Ranni the Witch’s questline in the game. You should visit the underground of Ainsel River and move towards the lake of rot and find Astel in its zone.
Astel has a variety of moves just like the other Elden Ring bosses. The legendary boss is highly vulnerable against Spirit Ashes. You can either play solo or join hands with others to defeat the Astel boss. Astel boss drops Runes and Remembrance of the Naturalborn as rewards after the battle ends. To those who are struggling to defeat Astel, Naturalborn of the Void in Elden Ring, here’s our best guide and walkthrough to complete the boss fight against Astel.
After crossing the Lake of Rot zone, you will find the boss in his area. Astel is a gravity type boss and deals magical and standard damage. You need to equip a Longbow with arrows, Terra Magica, Comet Azur and Rock Sling Sorceries, Scarlet Rod, Poison Effect Mimic Tear, Flask of Wondrous Physick and Poison Effects. And avoid using sleep, frostbite and madness effects against the Astel boss for this battle as the boss is immune to these effects.
Astel boasts a variety of moves and the boss starts the battle with laser attacks. You need to dodge his heavy attacks and block his other effects. Astel has a special power of teleporting and inflicting AoE damage. You need to move out from the purple circle zone which is an AoE explosion. The AoE explosion and damage can take away your health and energy in a second, so you always need to be tentative of the same.
Astel unleashes Laser beam attacks, and a wave of projectiles is charged toward you. Dodge them quickly. His gravity attacks are faster and they are indicated by purple lightning. Use your Rock Sling sorcery and poison effects to block these moves. Poison effects can stop the boss’ attacks for a while and you can utilize this time to stun him.
Then you can activate the scarlet rod and poison effect and attack Astel with your Longbow. Utilize tanky spirit, for this mimic tear ashes will be your best option.
