Avarice, the Gold Cursed spawns in the Kehjistan world. You can get to the waypoints in Seared Basin and look for the world boss’ locations marked on your map. The boss also spawns in other worlds, but Kehjistan is the best spot and the spawning rate is also higher here. Avarice, the Gold Cursed dragon-like creature is gigantic and even its tail can be intimidating.

Avarice has horns and this boss is unique in all ways. It uses a hammer and treasure chest to release gold in its zone. Those standing inside become vulnerable automatically. You have to keep jumping from one to the other in most parts.

Carry your best Diablo 4 equipment that includes gear items, ring, armor sets, helmets, swords, skills legendary aspects and more. You can play in the game’s co-op multiplayer mode as it’s almost next to impossible to defeat Avarice in solo. The boss spawns only at specific times and you can find the same on map.

Avarice has three health bars and it keeps getting powerful in each phase as well. Here are some tips and tricks to complete Avarice, the Gold Cursed boss in the game.

Phase 1

The boss starts with a mace attack. Avarice deals multiple attacks in all elements. It can deal physical damage, it can unleash raging fire damage and releases poison damage by spitting gold. The boss uses mace and lunges forward to deal damage over time. 

You can evade or dodge them back. It also releases shockwaves with its treasure chest. You can use melee or aoe attacks to stun him. There will be a series of gold portals and the boss disappears and spawns on the new golden portals in the battlefield arena.

You can drink Elixir to avoid unwanted damage. Also, wear armor throughout the battle. Keep attacking Avarice using your long-range swords. Fuse your weapons with the best fire elemental skills. The boss also slams the ground and unleashes a spin attack. These spin attacks can drain your hp completely. Keep attacking him and focus on its body parts and tail. Once you reduce its first health bar, the final phase begins.

Phase 2 

Avarice becomes stronger in each phase. In this phase, he will use Golden Vomit attacks. He will vomit on the floor and you can find pools of gold in the arena. Avoid standing on golden pools and after a short time, it will automatically disappear. Avarice pummels the ground to create a series of shockwaves and he will also utilize the stomp attacks. You can evade or telegraph these attacks.

The boss later uses his chain box and releases some rolling rocks. You can run to the other side of the arena. The boss swings his mace and also throws the hammer, you can run towards either side. Counterattack using a sword and fuse it with crowd control effects. You can stun and freeze him for a while, launch heavy attacks and dampen his mobility.
