How to Beat Full Grown Fallingstar Beast in Elden Ring

Published by

In this Elden Ring guide, we will tell you how to beat Full Grown Fallingstar Beast. Follow the guide properly to beat this boss.

Due to its optional status and the nearby area’s lack of connection with the main campaign, the Full-Grown Fallingstar Beast is easy to miss among its lesser counterparts roaming the Lands Between. If players make their way to the Volcano Manor, they can stop near the Ninth Mt. Gelmir Campsite Site of Grace to visit the Full-Grown Fallingstar Beast. By going to a nearby Spirit Spring, players will come face to face with this wild beast.

The fight with the Full-Grown Fallingstar Beast can be divided into two parts, much like most encounters with necessary and optional monsters. In this guide, we will tell you how to beat the full grown fallingstar beast.

Full Grown Fallingstar Beast

How to beat the full grown fallingstar beast: Phase one

In the beginning, the boss will regularly perform combo attacks that combine a variety of their signature melee and ranged attacks. Though all are equally dangerous, rock throws might prove slightly more challenging.

Fallingstar Beasts are known to occasionally use their mandibles to get the upper hand. Other times, they will swipe their tail to cause blood loss or leap into the air before landing into devastating rolling slams. Furthermore, the boss will sometimes deploy a ranged Gravity attack to pierce the players with sharp rocks sticking out of the ground, along with bull charges to close the distance between them and the boss.

While it has aggressive physical moves, the Full-Grown Fallingstar Beast is generally slow, and its attacks are well-telegraphed. Although it is possible to evade nearly all of its attacks, it can take some time to learn how to successfully dodge and attack. As the fight takes place in the open, mounted combat remains an option, but it is not recommended. Because of the nature of the battle, ranged users will likely have an easier time defeating the monster.

It is crucial to avoid the boss’ attack and look for a way to strike. Avoiding the beast’s bull charges and airborne ball slams is especially important, however, rolling backward will be effective in dealing with its grabs and tail swipes.

You should keep a closer eye on its mandibles, as this will let you know it’s going to fire ranged rock throws, so stay away. Whenever the beast charges the devastating area-of-effect Gravity attack, its eyes emit a purple glow in addition to active pincer animation. You will usually succeed in escaping this situation by rolling to the side or running away straight.

How to beat the Full Grown Fallingstar Beast: Phase two

After the Full-Grown Fallingstar Beast’s health reduces to approximately half, the second phase begins. A massive Gravity attack will suspend anyone within reasonable range into the air before slamming them back down. Furthermore, the boss can produce an energy beam that follows players’ movements and makes them easy targets, even from a distance, in addition, to reverse Gravity ranged attacks.

During the second phase, two new attacks will give players more breathing room, allowing them to deal significant damage when the boss launches the energy beam. Getting to the opening at the base of its head is as simple as running into it from the left-hand side and approaching from the left. Otherwise, watch for the purple light and preserve your distance without being overly greedy about reducing the monster’s health. The use of Opaline Bubbletear or Opaline Hardtear in combination with having enough flasks will be extremely beneficial.

When dealing with the Full-Grown Fallingstar Beast, it’s important to keep in mind that doing damage to its body will make it very difficult to reduce its health. Targeting the boss’s head or choosing other elemental attacks will be quite helpful even if it is resistant to physical assaults and immune to Bleed and Frostbite. Glintstone spells and element-based incantations will smooth out the difficulty curve if you use weapons with ranged or additional fire damage. The best shields are ineffective shields that cannot boost stamina or defense, while Spirit Ashes can ensure a timely survival.

Things to keep in mind

If you plan on going in with The Full-Grown Fallingstar Beast, you will benefit from the physical resistance and the immunity to Frostbite and Bleed. However, if you plan on going in with a Fire weapon or spell, you will need to stock up on Magic or Fire Grease before going in. For melee users who have the Faith, the Blasphemous Blade is a fantastic alternative. Any Glintstone spell will work for sorcerers.

In this fight, you’ll need something big and tanky–such as Lhutel the Headless or Banished Knight Oleg. This will help you to take down the boss’ huge health bar. You can’t go wrong with the Mimic Tear, but something big and tanky will provide additional breathing room.

If possible, consider wearing the best armor you can wear within the Medium Load range to protect yourself from the boss’ magic damage. The boss will also deal physical damage, so you should have the best armor you can wear.
