How to Beat Jenny O The Woods in Witcher 3

Do you want to know how to beat Jenny O The Woods in Witcher 3? Our guide has all the tips and tricks necessary for this fight.

Geralt decided to explore the area around Midcopse and see if there was anybody in need of a witcher. It happened that a bounty was advertised on a local noticeboard for ridding the area of a beast named Jenny o’ the Woods. Geralt decided to take a closer look into it. Upon finding the monster that the locals called Jenny o’ the Woods, Geralt discovered it was a common nightwraith, born of a woman who had been murdered by her rejected love.

The wrongfully murdered women in this dark fantasy universe are returning from beyond to wreak havoc on whatever community allowed such a terrible event to occur. Much like other spirits, nightwraiths also return from beyond to wreak havoc on the community in which they lived. The majority of nightwraiths are found in rural areas. However, it is unknown whether this is because of the more common deaths in rural areas or because the spirits are only able to manifest in less crowded regions, though both of those explanations are very likely.

So how to beat Jenny O The Woods? This is a big question and to answer this question we have brought you a guide that will help you in this fight against this nightwraith. Therefore, without wasting any time, read our Witcher 3 guide below.

How to Beat Jenny O The Woods

In order to possibly defeat Jenny o’ the Woods, players will have to force her into a corporeal form with the Yrden sign. Since the radius of the Yrden sign is quite small, players will have to backtrack or roll out of it to avoid her attacks; yet a way to mitigate some of this inconvenience is to constantly walk in circles around its rim. This will keep you within the radius for a long time so that you can gain positive buffs while also luring the nightwraith into its area of effect.

By launching a Moon Dust bomb in Jenny’s direction, you can also force her into her corporeal form by showering her in silver slivers. This will have the same effect as the Yrden sign, but without the requirement that the specter stays within the region. Moon Dust bombs are able to keep nightwraiths in a vulnerable state for 20 seconds with the basic form. The Enhanced upgrade will keep them vulnerable for 40 seconds, however, the most ideal version to use would be the Superior Moon Dust bomb that forces this threat into physical form permanently.

Use Igni

With most monsters and humanoid enemies, the Igni sign can be incredibly useful. However, it is advisable to turn Jenny into a corporeal form rather than unleash flames upon her via the Igni sign. The combination of fire damage with silver sword damage is uniformly more effective.

More tips

It is also possible to utilize more common tactics to get Jenny o’ the Woods killed quicker. The sign of Quen is useful to have active since it is always preventing at least one hit’s worth of damage. A witcher should still try to dodge Jenny’s attacks rather than tanking them, though having the shield up will save the player from taking unnecessary damage.

One of the common boons of battle would be to use a Thunderbolt potion to boost your attack power by 30% for 30 seconds. The enhanced version of this potion will enhance one’s attack power by the same 30% for 60 seconds. As always, and appropriately, the superior potion is the best to drink before battle since it will give you a 35% boost for 90 seconds.
