Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty has been launched finally. Wo Long Fallen Dynasty is an action roleplaying game from the makers of Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo. Your role as a Soldier is to battle against monsters and demons of the Three Kingdoms period and kill them in a dark fantasy world. You have new melee and ranged weapons along with a new combat technique named Deflect. Your combat difficulty level will be based on your new morale rank system in Wo Long Fallen Dynasty. Just like other RPGs, you can also loot new items, resources, and other rewards as drops from all bosses in the game. Wo Long Fallen Dynasty has a linear storyline and every minute is worth it in this intriguing action RPG. You can join your friends to combat dark demons through the game’s co-op multiplayer gaming mode.

Historical battles, JRPG, hack and slash, martial arts, and female protagonists are the game’s major features. You need to complete the game’s main chapter missions to unlock new rewards and resources that will also help you to progress in the game. The main chapter missions in Wo Long Fallen Dynasty include small quests, boss fights, and other daily tasks. Lu Bu is a legendary warrior and one of the game’s hardest bosses who you can encounter through the Chapter 4 mission titled “The Battle of Hulaoguan Pass”. Lu Bu is an intimidating boss and the final boss of chapter 4 with tons of moves and skills. Here’s our guide and walkthrough to defeat the Lu Bu boss in Wo Long Fallen Dynasty.

Wo Long Fallen Dynasty Lu Bu Boss Fight – Tips and Walkthrough

Make your way to the snowy fort zone and pass through the garrison gates. First, you need to defeat the mini-boss Hau Xiong to get access to the boss fight against Lu Bu. The boss fight against Lu Bu will be in 2 phases and the boss will be on a horse for the entire phase 1 you need to dismount him off the horse to kill him in phase 2. You can equip Armor along with some weapons like Glaive, Straight Sabre, and Dual Swords. Also use wizard spells like Heaven’s Rage, Ice Weapon, and Blasting Flare.

Phase 1

The boss comes on his horse and starts attacking straight away. Lu Bu will unleash arrows and the boss also uses his primary melee weapon which is Halberd. The boss has a variety of critical blows, charging attacks, and critical strikes to deal heavy damage. You can go with Guan You, Zhang Dei, and Qing Long as your heroes and other divine beasts like Xuanwu and Baihu. You can deflect most of his moves and melee combos. Deflect hid powerful critical strikes which can kill your companions in a single shot. Your spirit and health level should be at maximum to overcome his charged moves.

 You can also target his spirit with a fatal strike and melee combo. Dodge bus sweep attacks and parry his melee combos. The boss unleashes burning flames, you can use fire spells to inflict severe damage and reduce his health shield. The boss unleashes flaming arrows and you can block them instead of deflecting them. His melee combos will be unleashed with fire, again you can dodge them. The boss also attacks by going aerial from his horse, this is also indicated by red rings and you can use your swords and attack aggressively. Again the boss will be in the ground and will deal massive AoE damage and flames, you can stay behind and keep attacking from a long distance.

Deflect his high leap attacks and charged moves. Keep attacking and reduce his spirit damage level to dismount him on the ground. Also, remember that his horse can also attack his enemies and you need to be tentative of its attacks. You can deflect or block the attacks of the horse. Use Glaive with fire rage to deal double damage and unleashes flames to quickly reduce his spirit level.

Lu Bu becomes more aggressive on foot and he will unleash more flames and will lunge forward to slam you with his weapons. Continue with the same strategy, reduce his spirit level, and demount him off the horse to proceed to the final phase.

Phase 2

Lu Bu is more faster and aggressive in phase 2. The horse can attack from the other end and you need to use a different strategy against his horse. Unleash fatal strikes and normal attacks to reduce his spirit and health. Whenever Lu Bu unleashes combo, you can block them. Again he will come up with critical blow attacks and once again you can quickly deflect them to avoid getting unwanted damage. The boss uses his Halberd to unleash a plethora of combos, you can deflect most of these. You can go with fatal strikes constantly to drain his spirit level. Again utilize burning flamewave, the fire spell, you can cast this to deal more damage and attack faster.

Your only strategy to defeat Lu Bu is to use fatal strikes and deflect his attacks and moves, this is a  tactical approach and one of the best strategies to overcome Lu Bu’s attacks and defeat the boss. Engulfing Inferno is another best option in the last phase as this fire spell can gradually decrease his spirit and health level to zero. Deal more damage, and reduce his spirit and health to complete the boss fight. You can collect your rewards and leave the place after killing the Lu Bu boss.
