How to Beat Malenia, Blade of Miquella in Elden Ring

Malenia, Blade of Miquella is a powerful boss in the Elden Ring. Malenia hails from Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree. Though the Malenia boss fight is not a compulsory challenge in Elden Ring, most of the players have been struggling to defeat her. Malenia deals explosive damage and you need to deploy the best strategy to defeat her. Malenia comes out in two different versions during this battle. The second phase of the Malenia boss battle is more intense and intriguing than the first phase.

Malenia has different types of damage and she implements all of these in various phases of the battle. Overall, Malenia is a worthy opponent and you need to give it a try before proceeding to the other challenges in Elden Ring. As Malena is powerful with her damage stats, you can exploit her weakness easily as she’s low HP and attack stats. Malenia Elden Ring Boss Battle

Before initiating the battle against Malenia, make sure you have explored the Forbidden Lands and you need to activate the Grand Lift of Rold. Then the boss will be there in her dungeon which is Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree. Spot her at her place and then you can initiate the challenge against Malenia.

Also, you must collect two halves of the Haligtree Secret Medallion which are available at the Village of the Albinaurics, and grab the next one from the Castle Sol in Mountaintops of the Giants. Now you are all set to enter her arena for the biggest boss battle in Elden Ring, the place where she resides is also a hidden area. Find her and embark on your Malenia boss battle now.

Malenia is a stronger defensive troop and can deal massive amounts of damage. But again you can counterattack her easily. Use any sword, Ruins Greatsword, and Grafted Blade Greatsword are the best equipment. Again you need a shield and spear to avoid getting damaged. Keep damaging her health to slow down her progress.

Malenia will unleash melee, AoE and sweeping sword moves in the first stage of the battle. You have to maintain a gap and block her moves. Dodging may work rarely here, as her attacks come within a fraction of a second. You have to damage and reduce her health, as that’s one of her weaknesses. You can use frozen grease for your weapons to boost their stats. Another weakness of Malenia is her poor poise stats. Malenia is also susceptible to fire moves and damage. You can also use melee combos to counter her slash attacks.

Along with a shield, Scarlet rot resistance, Ghiza’s Wheel, and Mimic Tear Ashes will be effective against her. Use the frostbite buff to increase your damage stat. Whenever you dodge her moves, the boss slows down, you need to dampen her health in these situations. Whenever her health goes down, Melanie will come up with her different moves that are unpredictable.

Malena comes again with her AoE and slash attacks, quickly dodging these moves to avert colossal damage. Don’t expose your weakpoints to Malenia, you just need to counterattack the boss analyzing all her weak zones. Her Waterflow Dance is a stunning attack, parry them immediately with a shield or dodge to your left quickly. You can deploy your melee combos or use frostbite on any of your best weapons to further damage her HP.

Malenia Boss Fight Final Phase

Malenia will transform into her second version for the final phase. Malenia, Goddess of Rot is her evolution form and she comes out with more energy for the final round. During this phase, Malenia unleashes scarlet bloom and melee attacks, you can jump and dodge her moves. Use Scarlet Rot and frostbite to negate her attacks. Frustrated Malenia unleashes AoE and fast-paced attacks, you can simply dodge to the side to avoid damage. Then use the Greatsword to damage her HP and finally you are all set for a mighty win against Malenia boss.

Throughout the battle, you have to deal fire damage, and use frostbite and scarlet rot resistance, as these will make her a weaker troop. After defeating Malenia, get your reward worth 480,000 Runes as drops from the boss herself for this challenge.
