Zelda Tears of the Kingdom has many mini-boss battles. Link has to beat these small bosses and many of these come under main quests. Mucktorock is a mini-boss fight that is part of the Sidon of the Zora main quest. You can encounter Mucktorock at the Water Temple. Mucktorock, the Boss of the Water Temple, boasts various attacks and releases sludges.
You can counter Mucktorock using water attacks. With full hearts and stamina levels, Link also has to equip some of the best gear items and shields to overcome its attacks. Here’s how you can defeat the Water Temple boss, Mucktorock in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom along with some tips and tricks.
Before getting to the Water Temple, make sure to fill hearts and stamina. Also, you have to get more Hasty Elixir and Cold Recipes. You can use Arrows, Splash Fruit, Sidon’s Shield, and Opal. You can also fuse weapons with electric items like Blue or Yellow Chu Chu Jelly. Keese Eyeballs are effective as well. You can procure some Armor sets as well. Mucktorock is an octopus-type boss. It will keep unleashing sludge. Clean sludge on its body parts using arrows or other throwable items. Mucktorock keeps swimming and it will attack as well. You can use fused arrows to inflict massive damage. Dodge its other laser attacks and projectiles. Use Hasty Elixir to increase your mobility and also keep cleaning its sludge. Always use Arrows with Chu Chu Jelly to attack faster. Once you cleanse the boss, its true form of Octopus will be shown. Now you have to start defeating the original form.

You can dodge its sludge attacks and heavy laser attacks with a Sidon shield. Later Mucktorock will unleash slam attacks and you can quickly block them or move to any side. Mucktorock will continue with the same attacks and you can stick to your plans and block its combos. Slowly the challenge moves to the last phase where you have an uphill task of clearing its sludges.
Phase 2 will be more challenging as it keeps releasing more sludge and sludge attacks. You have to clean the area and also attack Mucktorock. Use arrows and attack from one end. Once you overcome its shark form, you can easily tackle and stun the octopus form. You can consume meals and increase your movement speed as well.
You can unleash Sidon’s ranged attacks and also use any crossbows with a fused arrow. Mucktorock becomes aggressive in shark form and you have to keep attacking in its Octopus form. Mucktorock will be vulnerable against all attacks on octopus form. Keep stunning it and attack from every end. You can lunge forward and unleash charged and slam attacks.
Clean all sludge in the arena and also you can launch Keese Eyeballs. Mix your attacks to stun Mucktorock. Once the sludge is cleared and you defeat its octopus form, the battle will be completed.
