While playing Ghost of Tsushima, a point will come when you will face a tough boss named Sao. Want to know how to beat Sao then read till the end.
The third-person perspective of Ghost of Tsushima gives the player a variety of options for defeating their enemies. During combat, Jin needs to adopt different combat stances depending on the type of enemy he is facing. They can confront enemies directly with their katanas, known as standoffs, which can chain a series of fatal strikes against a set number of enemies.
Jin can kill enemies with only one hit for a limited period of time when the player unlocks the Ghost stance, which makes Jin invulnerable. The player must kill enemies without taking any damage, or assassinate Mongol leaders before using the Ghost stance. Staggering enemies or landing a successful parry to break their defenses is necessary to deplete their health before attacking.
The player can also use bows to fire arrows of different types. Jin has to battle other non-playable characters at certain points in the game, who serve as boss characters with distinctive offensive tactics and attacks. In the highest difficulty mode, the player and enemies do massive damage, ending all non-boss fights with one or two successful cuts. You will have to face a boss called Sao who is going to trouble you. So, how to beat Sao in Ghost of Tsushima? You will find out when you read till the end.

It is a little more difficult to defeat Sao as the fourth and last opponent in Ghost of Tsushima’s Hidden Cove Tournament. Despite this, Sao is still a fairly predictable fighter if players pay close attention to his movements, and is easily defeated by parries and counterattacks. This is due to his broad moveset, which incorporates several altered versions of attacks that players have already faced in the Tournament.
The Heavy Attack is Sao’s signature attack that sweeps low to the ground and flicks dirt into the opponent’s face at the opening of each match. Sao’s follow-up might be blocked or parried for a return hit after his opener, but this move is heavily telegraphed and can be avoided with a quick tap on the dodge button.
By throwing a bottle of sake at Jin, the Crimson Fisherman will be able to stun him, which is easily avoided by rolling dodge. Upon learning Sao’s skills in Ghost of Tsushima’s Hidden Cove Tournament, players will be able to defeat him once they have learned his skills.
To close the distance, Sao has a running attack he uses as he approaches. He will dart from foot to foot, but the move can be parried, which allows you to do counterattacks. Just keep doing this and eventually, you will be able to defeat Sao.
