You have to beat and kill the Skeletron Prime boss during night time as it becomes wild during dawn. There has to be many strategies and tricks to overcome its moves. You also get some rewards as drops after killing the boss.

Tips and Tricks to Defeat Skeletron Prime Boss in Terraria
First, you have to summon the boss. This can be done in two parts. One is you can demolish its Crimson Altar and Demon. The other way is to craft and use a Mechanical Skull at night.
Also make sure to equip weapons, potions, and magic. You can use Slice of Cake, Ammo Box, and more potions. For weapons, you can go with Adamantite Repeater and Daedalus Stormbow. You also need to equip armor like Spider, Titanium, and Orichalcum.
If you are looking for guns, the best options are Megashark, Onyx Blaster, and Clockwork AR. You also can use magic effects like Flower of Frost and Ice Sickle. All these have the best buffs and effects during battles.
Phase 1
You have to damage its Prime head to complete the battle. But before that, you also need to damage its limbs and arms. Prime Cannon, its primary limbs can unleash bombs and deal a huge amount of damage. Its Prime Laser limbs can release red death lasers and reduce your health. Use your guns and demolish these. Prime Vice, its arm will lunge forward and unleash a powerful strike. Prime Saw, its primary arm can deal colossal damage and you have to use frost effects to stun the boss for a while. Keep using your magics and effects with high buffs and stats.
Finally, the Prime Head will release glowing spikes that will also move forward and attack. You also need to dodge its attacks and projectiles. Keep attacking its head and focus on reducing its health to move to the final phase.
Phase 2
You can dodge its projectiles and attacks from limbs. Use your guns and target its arms first. Destroy its arms and move on to demolish its limbs. The boss will become fragile after losing its other parts. Also make sure to stand within its reach. If you stand way behind and the tiles distance is more, Skeletron Prime will automatically despawn. This is its technique to stay intact during the battle. Skeleton Prime boss is brave and brilliant as well.
Stay within its reach and keep attacking from every end. Don’t allow the boss to gain the momentum in the final phase of the battle. Once all its primary body parts are destroyed, you can use more effects and potions. This will make the boss weaker. Continue to deal more damage and destroy its head. Kill its prime head and then you can win the challenge. You will get some rewards as drops immediately after completing the challenge.
