When you join this faction, you can play 8 different quests.
Freestar Rangers quests are non-optional and you have to complete all of these. Also, there are some mission board bounty quests you can complete to earn free exp and credits. Freestar Rangers are space cowboys in Starfield and here your goal is to save the people in the settled system. Starfield Freestar Rangers Quests – Tips & Tricks
Freestar Rangers quests have combat, persuasion checks and more. These quests grant plenty of rewards as well. Here’s how you can complete all Starfield Freestar Rangers quests,
Job Gone Wrong – This mission begins at Gal Bank in Akila City. There’s a hostage situation and people of Akila City are trapped inside the bank. You have only two options. Complete the task by persuading robbers to release all hostages and you have to persuade them to surrender as well.
If you fail, you can invade the bank through the back door and attack robbers and rescue them. Once the quest is done, meet the NPC outside the entrance and update him that the situation is under control and everyone is safe. With this, this mission is done. You will receive 150 XP and 3800 credits.
Deputized
Travel to Akila City and meet the NPC, Emma Wilcox. This is the very first main mission for the Freestar Rangers faction and your task is to slay the thugs who threatened the owner of Mikaela Waggoner’s farm.
You can use jetpacks to traverse faster. Once you complete their quest, the NPC will be impressed and you will officially be recruited as a member of Freestar Rangers organization. This time your rewards are 250 XP and 5000 credits.
Where Hope is Built
Travel to Akila City and report to Marshal Blake. Once you gain access as a full member, travel to Polvo orbit in the Valo system. Here, you have to meet Nia Kalu and inquire about her ship. You have to repair the ship and defeat the pirates that threatened her. Next, meet the founder of Hope Tech, Ron Hope. Investigate the ship theft and help Nia Kalu find the missing ship. Once all objectives are done, you can collect 250 XP and 5000 credits.
Shadows in Neon
Travel to Neon on Volli Alpha planet. Meet the NPC named Jaylen Pryce. Investigate further about the stolen shop with Ranger Pryce and then proceed to meet another NPC, Billy Clayton. It is revealed that Emmet Goodman is the reason for the theft. You have to defeat this pilot and then collect the Encrypted Slate. Finally, you can travel to Akila City and hand over the Slate to Alex Shadid. Get your rewards worth 250 XP and 5000 credits.
Surgical Strike
This mission begins right after you complete the investigation on the stolen hopetech ship. Travel to the clinic in the Narion system. Next, meet the techie, Maya Cruz. She’s the one who stole the ship and discover more about her in the facility. In the end, you have to defeat Maya Cruz and complete the quest. Travel to the Rock in Akila City and meet Alex and collect rewards including 350 XP and 5000 credits.
On the Run
Your next stop is Red Mile in the Porrima star system. Meet the NPC Marco Graziani near a ship in the Cheyenne system. You have to defeat him and collect the slate. Once you unlock the Encrypted Slate, run the red mile and leave the zone. Collect 350 XP and 5000 credits and proceed to the next mission.
First to Fight, First to Die
Travel to Arcturus II in the Arcturus system. Get inside a factory and defeat Paxton Hull. Once you beat this NPC in a battle, you have to destroy a couple of starships. Next, you have to investigate the abandoned mech factory. The mission will be complete once you slay Paxton Hull and other mercenaries. With this, the final Freestar Rangers faction mission will be unlocked. Also, pick your rewards of 250 xp and 9600 credits.
The Hammer Falls
The final Freestar Collective mission is here. This takes place in Hopetown located on Polvo planet in the Valo system. Get inside the Hopetech and here comes a twist. It’s revealed that Ron Hope himself planned to ruin the farms. You have two choices here.
Either slay Ron Hope or accept his deals where you receive a hefty amount as a bribe in exchange. You can slay Hope and become a successful Freestar Rangers member. Next, you can meet Birgit McDougall and inform her about this quest.
Then finally you can meet Marshal Blake in Akila City at the Rock and complete the questline as well. This will also complete the entire Freestar Rangers questline.
Rewards
A couple of rewards for this quest will be granted by the NPC. Here’s what you will receive,
