You can unlock this quest from Merlin straightaway after completing The Forgotten Relics. Disney Dreamlight Valley The Dark Castle Quest – Guide and Walkthrough
Just like usual story quests, there are several objectives to complete. You have to solve some complicated puzzles and pass through some doors as well. Here’s how you can complete the Dark Castle story quest easily.
Door 1
Interact with the door and find the objectives. You have to collect wings and crowns for your character to get access. Here’s what you can do,
- Equip Cardboard Crown and Cardboard Wings. This can be found inside the wardrobe on the ground floor.
- You can also wear Onyx Crown along with Cardboard Wings. The other possible Wings options are Raven Wings and Thorn Wings. These can be purchased from the wardrobe or else, you have to reach level 38 in the game.
- Do all these to pass through the first door.
Door 2
The objectives to pass through second door are simple. You have to cook a recipe named Night Thorn Sprout Salad. The recipes can be located easily as they are just inside the cooking station near the ingredient table. The recipes are,
- Dreamlight Salt
- Dark Castle Lettuce
- Thorn Sprout
Door 3
For passing through the third door, you just have to click a picture of the missing door space. You can find the same with a note on the wall at the same location. Click a picture and proceed to the final door.
Door 4
Now the final part of this story quest arrives. For this part, you have to find four torches around the ground and inside the ice as well. The four torches are Noon, Night, Dusk, and Dawn. You also have to place the torchers in the right order near the pedestal. Then, you have to fish up the Dark Castle Key using the fishing rod as well from inside the water pool and unlock the final door.
