In this guide, we will tell you how to complete Trace Escape Room. It is a bit complicated so read this guide till the end.
Trace Escape Room from Cool Math Games is an exciting escape room game that can be played for free on your browser. The game offers a similar gameplay experience to Escape Simulator, where you have to find your way out of a mysterious location. As you start the game, you will come across various clues and items that you need to collect and use to progress further in the game. In case you are stuck, you can always refer to the walkthrough and solutions provided below for Trace escape room.
To succeed in the Trace escape room, mastering the clicking mechanism is crucial. Unlike other point-and-click games, you won’t receive any clues by hovering over the scene. You need to click on the area to zoom in and examine it in detail, which might require multiple clicks. Also, there are no on-screen pointers, so clicking on the item is the only option. Once an item is in your inventory, you can click on the magnifying glass to explore potential hints in Trace escape room.
To start, collect the half-pair of scissors from the sink. You’ll notice a picture under the bathroom mirror that requires a four-digit code. To get the code, use the toilet roll to reveal the first number (5) and open the gold box above the toilet to get the second number (8) by matching the lights above the mirror with the buttons on the side of the box.
Next, solve the star five-colored electricity puzzle by clicking the colored arrows to mimic the star pattern on the wooden casing around the toilet. This will open the cabinet and give you the other half of the scissors and the fourth number (16) of the combination. Combine the two halves of scissors to cut the string holding the red key. Use it to open the silver box to get the third number (.35) and a crumpled piece of paper.
The crumpled piece of paper reveals a loose tile with a fish image that matches the five-color puzzle. Make the arrows line up to open the cabinet on the right side and get more code numbers (1, 2, .05, 8). Divide these numbers to get the combination (5472) to open the little safe behind the picture and get a lightbulb.
Insert the bulb in the pumpkin in cabinet on left side to reveal five colored circles, each with a stick pointing in a different direction. Use these directions on the colored electricity puzzle to open the final cabinet below the sink, which has a red tile with a key on it. Enter this tile into the panel on the bathroom door to reveal a sliding puzzle. Move the pieces to maneuver the small purple pieces and move the red key piece over the green lock square to open the door and escape.
As you enter the room of Trace Escape Room, head over to the couch to collect a metal star beneath it, a battery under the right cushion, and an ogre figure next to the plant. There’s another metal star on the painting on the wall, and a blue tin horse inside the top drawer of the desk. Add all these items to your inventory.
Walk towards the bay window and use the camera to take a snapshot of the planet pattern visible outside. Then, open the cabinet beneath the window and solve the puzzle inside by arranging it to match the planet pattern. After that, press the red button below the puzzle to open a small hatch and retrieve a broken metal tablet.
Return to the little hallway near the bathroom and use the tin horse on the image on the window. When you examine the horse in your inventory, its neck will extend, and you need to bend it until its eye matches the blue diamond on the window image by following the maze route. Once the eye matches the diamond, click the button on the giraffe to get the missing piece of the metal tablet.
Solve metal puzzle from tall art piece by bathroom. Get red button, and press it along with five other buttons in order shown by symbols above fish tank. Other buttons are by fish tank, on fan, on computer, in planet puzzle, behind painting, and on small grey box. Pressing them in the right order will open the grey box, rewarding you with a green key and a utility knife. Use the green key to open the green door in the corner and go out onto the patio. After this, there are quite a few more steps to finish Trace Escape room.
First, take the vampire figure from the shelf and move to the circular image on the wall. There are four black cubes with potted plant images on each side. Set them in the order of hanging, tall pot, tall plant, and painting from left to right, top to bottom. Press the red button in the middle to grab the metal star.
Go to the patio corner, and solve the giraffe puzzle for a second battery. Take metal star from the table by mini piano. Click the table with blue tablecloth on the main patio, and find a metal star hidden in jigsaw pieces on top of the table. Complete the jigsaw to get the missing piece. Now just follow the steps below.
After logging in, choose the water bowl on the screen to take control of the submarine in the fish tank. Use it to enter the castle in the tank and find the code 26336 6161 on the inside wall.
First, you need to use a computer to get the last metal star needed to open a panel on a barred door. Inside the panel, there is a series of colored squares where you need to place the stars so that each row, color, and column has a star with none being adjacent. This will open the front door and give you access to a tower.
In the tower, you need to solve a sliding puzzle above a small table with a vase containing red flowers to open a hole in the wall. From the hole, you can grab a third figure and a key for the umbrella. You also need to grab a robot hanging on a wire upstairs and look out of the window at the bottom of the stairs where you’ll see the words “CABBAGE FACED” written.
Using the key, you can unlock the umbrella on the porch and open it to reveal an image on the porch chair. You also need to hang the robot on the kite string while outside. Then, you need to go to the tiny piano on the table and play the notes in the order “CABBAGE FACED” to open the piano and get the robotic arm inside.
Finally, you need to go back inside, add the robotic arm to the submarine, pop it back in the tank, and then use the computer again. There are just a few more steps to completing Trace escape room.
You need to use the robot to climb and see a row of symbols on a bridge as you try to complete the Trace escape room. Then, use the submarine to go back into the tower, open a chest, and reveal a message that says “I DID DEEDS” (the reverse of a number code seen earlier). You must type this message into a machine in a drawer on a table with flowers to get a fourth figure (a dragon).
Next, you need to trace an image on a pinboard on the wall of the central room in the tower to reveal an eight-light puzzle. You need to click the lights in a certain order to turn them all off, which will give you an image on a stone plinth in the room. You then need to place the four figures on the X spaces on the plinth at their relevant crossover points to gain a screwdriver.
Finally, you need to use the symbols on the bridge as seen through the robot’s eyes to solve a flight plan puzzle on a machine lit by a golden lamp upstairs in the tower.
There is just a little more to do for completing the Trace Escape Room. Using the screwdriver on the metal panel under the shelf with the fan in the main house reveals a password consisting of six symbols. This password gives access to the Tower part of the program on the computer, which opens the Mathemagic program. Completing the program reveals the maths symbol each symbol on the safe represents. Knowing this, you enter the symbols on the safe to make the numbers printed there work. Inside the safe is the companion book to the Adventures of a Wayward cosmonaut on the table.
Note the color order of planets visited in both books and the launch date, which is inputted into the machine upstairs in the tower. The resulting image is then used to solve the pyramid object in the bay window, giving you the pyramid key. Using the Pyramid Key to reopen the bathroom door and the pentagon key to open the lid of the toilet reveals an escape hatch. Congratulations, you have completed the Trace escape room.
