Before evolving Gimmighoul into Gholdengo, you must have 999 Gimmighoul coins. Here’s how you can collect Gimmighoul coins in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. You can obtain Gimmighoul coins by catching the Pokemon in its chest form, then battle against Gimmighoul, defeat him, and acquire Gimmighoul coins as drops from the Pokemon.
You can also find the Gimmighoul Pokemon in wild form, again catching the creature will get you some coins. Defeat and catch Gimmighoul in Wild and from Chest to collect around 50 coins every time. On an average, you can get 50 coins as drop from Gimmighoul after completing the battle.
This is how you can amass around 999 Gimmighoul coins. The ghost-type Pokemon spawns once in 48 hours, you can revert to the same zones to defeat and collect the coins.
