Want to know how to farm champions and what are the best farming locations in Destiny 2? Read our Champion farm Destiny 2 guide below.
As one of Destiny 2’s most difficult enemies, Champions come in three types: Barrier, Unstoppable, and Overload. Taking out each of these Champions requires a unique weapon mod on your Guardian, so be sure you have your loadout ready. Every now and then, you will have to kill multiple Champions for a quest or a challenge. You usually have a warning before battling against Champions, so you’ll know you’re about to face off against them.
Champions are usually associated with more challenging content and activities in Destiny 2. One of the most prominent places where you can find Champions is through the Weekly Nightfall, on Hero, Legend, or Master difficulty. The Hero difficulty is the easiest, while the Master difficulty is the most challenging. So how to farm champions in Destiny 2 and what are the best farming locations? You will know everything about it in our Champion Farm Destiny 2 Guide.
Champion Farm Destiny 2 Guide: Locations
Lost Sectors (Legend/Master)
It’s easy to get a decent number of Champions in a short amount of time by playing Legend and Master Lost Sectors repeatedly. These Lost Sectors are crawling with Champions, and they’re made for replaying. It’ll depend on what Lost Sector is on rotation that week if you want to get an efficient number of Champions.
Nightfalls
You can also find plenty of Champions and decent rewards from Nightfalls. The Nightfalls can either be completed by farming and hoping for the best rewards, or you can reload the activity after killing some Champions early on. Depending on what Nightfall is on tap any given week, this method can yield varying results. Legend onwards does not have matchmaking, and higher difficulties will have higher payoffs and more Champions.
If you aren’t leveled enough for Legend/Master tasks, Hero Nightfalls will be your best choice for farming Champions. You can also spawn into some Nightfalls that begin in Patrol areas and travel to Lost Sectors, which have their own Champions.
Activities (Legend/Master)
There’s no doubt you’ll run into Champions if you run a Master raid or dungeon. If you’re going to do them anyway, you might as well put a dent in the Champion count while getting some loot since they’re the fastest way to rack up Champion kills.
In addition to Dares of Eternity, Empire Hunts, and seasonal activities, more difficult variations can also provide you with tons of champions to defeat, but they may not be the most time-efficient.
Champion Farm Destiny 2 Guide: Best Ways to Farm
In comparison to farming Champion kills, farming Champion stuns is a lot easier. Since you don’t have to kill the Champions, you can outright farm them since they don’t require a specific location or rotation. This method is more evergreen and doesn’t require a specific location or rotation.
Overload Champions are easy
As an alternative to defeating Champions, you can continue to stun them to farm Champion stuns. With Divinity and Stasis, Overload Champions are the fastest, while Barriers are a lot less threatening than Unstoppables. If you freeze a Champion with Stasis, it will reset its invulnerability window, allowing you to stun-lock them.
Take part in activities
It is best to farm Champion stuns in activities with Champions, such as Legend Nightfall and Lost Sectors that have Champions. Owners of Beyond Light have a guaranteed Overload Champion through Empire Hunts. Start a Legend or Master Empire Hunt and head to Bunker E15 Lost Sector. As soon as you cross the threshold, an Overload Champion will appear.
Stasis can be used to bug Overload Champions, as they can be frozen and stun with weapons while they are still frozen. Divinity works the best due to the nature of trace rifles, but any source of Overload stuns will work. If the Champion freezes, Divinity will continue stunning it. Warlocks and Titans both have grenade-boosting abilities.
Barrier Champions are difficult
When you kill all enemies around barrier Champions and shoot their barrier, you can permanently cheese them. The Barrier Champion’s health will refill, so you can just give it some breathing room if you don’t want to kill it by accident, and you can stun it multiple times consecutively without having to chase down other Champions in different locations.
So this was everything you needed to know. Follow the Champion Farm Destiny 2 Guide and you will easily complete your task.
