In Gotham, you travel using one of several methods. The bat cycle is the most common method, which has customizable colors and models via DLC and in-game unlocks, similar to the tank-like batmobile in Arkham Knight. Therefore, you have multiple options for Gotham Knights fast travel. Read below to know more.
Gotham Knights Fast Travel Guide
After the bat grapple, the second most commonly used method for traversing when players are a little closer to their goal is the bay grapple. Like Arkham games, the bay grapple will take players from ground level to seated among the gargoyles in no time.
Combining this method of traveling around with the third method makes skipping above lampposts and rooftops much easier.
One more option is Heroic Travel, which varies from character to character and can be unlocked by completing the Knighthood challenges for each of the four playable characters. Dick/Nightwing gets a flying trapeze glider. The mysterious new power Jason Todd/Red Hood has inherited from his resurrection from the Lazarus pit allows him to leap across thin air in a magical manner.
Character abilities
Tim/Robin receives teleporting technology from the Justice Leak, allowing him to move around distances above ground, while Barbara/Batgirl gets a cape upgrade, making her glide like Batman across Gotham. Combined with the bat cycle, grapple, and heroic travel, moving around Gotham is easy, but the city is huge, so traveling can take a long time even with these moves.
Solution from Lucius Fox
As soon as fast travel is unlocked, players will have to use heroic travel to return to the Belfry. Once it is unlocked, players will have the option of returning to the Belfry. Lucius Fox has a solution to this problem; players will receive an email asking them to meet Fox after finishing a few patrols. Upon reaching his location, he will inform players about the drone network around Gotham. Players can travel fast around Gotham by completing these drone missions.
In order to unlock that area for fast travel, players must scan the two or three drones requested within that area, which will appear as circular icons with two downward arrows on them. Upon completion of all drone scans, fast travel will be enabled throughout Gotham, making it much easier to travel during patrols.
