How to Find The Mooncalf in Hogwarts Legacy?
For this quest, you have to head to the camp where the Mooncalf is and free her from a cage. You have to reach level 20 before you try out this quest.
Hogwarts legacy offers a variety of side quests that requires you to help your fellow students, professors, and other characters in the wizarding world. In order to start this quest you should have completed the main missions I.e The Elf, The Nab-Sack, and The Loom. Upon completing this You will be rewarded with a magical tool called Nab Sack. This tool can be used to catch magical beasts in Hogwarts castle.
Objective: To help Garnuff find his Mooncalf named biscuit.
In this quest, you have to travel to West Hogsmeade Floo Flame Point to interact with Garnuff. He’s worried about his Biscuit being captured by poachers In the area. You have to rescue his biscuit by going to the camp and defeating the poacher to rescue the Biscuit.
After conversing With Garnuff you have to follow the quest marker to find the poacher camp which is close to the East North Ford bog floo flame. You will find this area on the map marked with a purple patch once you are close to the spot.
The Poachers will start attacking you as they spot you. You can defeat them easily using the damage spells to beat them. Keep in mind that even though they are easy to defeat some poachers will block your attacks so we suggest that you attack the weak once first.
How to rescue Mooncalf?
After you defeat all the Poachers Go to the large cage in the middle of the camp. The cage will be locked so you have to use the spell Alohomora to open it.
After you cast Alohomora the gates will open and many magical creatures will come running at you and scurry away escaping from the cage. You will have to identify Biscuit out of all these magical creatures, So for your reference Biscuit is a white-colored Mooncalf with black patches.
You can use the spell Levioso to stop the beast from running away from you. This is the moment when you use the magical tool that you previously got that is the Nab Sack to get hold of Biscuit.
Take back Biscuit to Garnuff and inform him about your capture. He will thank you and express his happiness by rewarding you with the Beast Rescuer Robe,300 galleons, and experience.
