How to Survive Baldur’s Gate 3 Underdark?
Exiting the Underdark and progressing through Act 1 of Baldur’s Gate 3 can be a challenging task. This guide aims to provide players with a detailed walkthrough of the process, from reaching the Underdark Beach to utilizing the Underdark Duegar Boat, obtaining the Moonlantern, and ultimately taking the elevator to leave the Underdark. This guide is your companion to go through the intricate pathways of the game and ensure you don’t miss any crucial steps.
Step 1: Reach Underdark – Beach
Your journey begins by making your way to the Underdark Beach region. This location can be found in the western part of the Underdark. To reach it, follow these steps:
- Head north through the Myconid Colony.
- Proceed west toward the Sussur Tree.
- Head south to reach the Beach area.
As you travel, keep an eye out for the three Icy items that can be used to create a powerful early-game weapon.
Step 2: Underdark Duegar Boat
During this part of the quest, you will run into Duegar Dwarves. To begin the side quest Find the Missing Boots, you can either ambush them or choose to side with them. Either way will activate the mission. It is strongly suggested that the primary Duegar Dwarf be eliminated first in order to prevent the spawning of other enemies. When you have finished dealing with the problem, proceed to Grymdark by traveling on the Underdark Duegar Boat.
Step 3: Get the Moonlantern from Nere
As soon as you enter Grymdark, you will come across other Duegar Dwarves. Your objective is to track down Nere, who may be found in the camp that is situated to the south of the Underdark to Grymdark quick transit point. It is absolutely necessary for you to purchase the Moonlantern from Nere in order to continue.
In case that you continue your search, you will eventually get at the Adamantine Forge via the Underdark – Ancient Forge. Once you have defeated Grym, the boss of the Adamantine Forge, you will be able to craft amazing weapons and armor in this location. After you have completed this objective, use a fast travel spell to return to the Underdark – Grymforge area to gather significant items. You can get a lot of Gold in the game easily.
Step 4: Take the elevator up
Taking an elevator is the very last thing you need to do in order to exit and survive Baldur’s Gate 3 Underdark. This elevator can be found just across from the fast travel point that connects the Underdark and the Grymdark. Before moving forward, check to see that you still have the Moonlantern. After boarding the elevator, you will soon be on your way out of the Underdark and back to the surface.
