Published by

Destiny 2’s Jotunn Catalyst is here and has grabbed everyone’s attention yet again. Want to know how to get your Jotunn Catalyst in Destiny 2, worry no more we have brought you the entire process for you to obtain it as soon as possible.

Jotunn rifle in Destiny 2 is a Solar Exotic Fusion Rifle, that is feared by the Guardians since Year 2. You don’t have to be a master to use Jotunn in PvP, but you have to be skilled enough to dodge any Solar projectile coming toward you from the weapon.

Jotunn has a catalyst that has been recently added in the Season of Haunted. This Exotic weapon is quite different from the other weapons. To be specific, the ammunition of the Jotunn catalyst is different from other Rifles. This catalyst fires a Single Solar Projectile at a target instead of continuously. It serves as a one-shot rifle to the player using it and can fire from miles apart. Keep reading below to find out how to get Jotunn catalyst in the RPG game Destiny 2.

Jotunn Catalyst in Destiny 2: How to get?

Jotunn can be unlocked from the Exotix Archive in the Tower. The following items are required by players: 1 Exotic Cipher, 125,000 Glimmer, 200 Microphasic Datalattice, and 1 Ascendant which fires at 820 Charge Time. It is interesting to know that this fire rate is more than any other powerful Fusion rifle in the game. Each Projectile that serves as a Rocket launcher can track any opponent precisely from miles apart in the game.

The Vanguard

In order to get the Catalyst, you need to complete certain tasks like Vanguard, Gambit, and Crucible. You shall first pick up the weapon in order to own it. After getting your hands on the Catalyst you can blindly defeat up to 500 enemies with this weapon.

Each projectile has a tracking shot that bursts and applies a burning effect within an AOE thanks to the intrinsic perk Charge Shot.

Destiny 2 Jotunn Perks

The catalyst of this weapon also gives you two more benefits which are Cornered and new Incandescent. If you are wondering what these terms mean, don’t worry we have got you covered.

Cornered Perk

When a user is 15 meters or less from two enemies, the buff “Cornered” is activated. Charge and Draw Time is reduced by 100 milliseconds, and it stays that way for an additional 1.5 seconds.

Incandescent perk

The recently added Incandescent perk now has the ability to apply Scorch to any nearby target. Powerful combatants and Guardian spread the Scorch all over the map. It functions similarly to the Dragonfly perk in which players don’t have to aim at the targets precisely to cause a Solar explosion. Enemies will ignite as this Scorch status stacks, exploding and will cause damage in a small AOE all around them.

To make sure that you have acquired the catalyst you can cross-check it by going to the Collection tab from your inventory in Destiny 2 and then heading to the Patterns & Catalyst section. After that, you can go to the Exotic Catalysts section and search for Jotunn catalyst at the right bottom of the list.

This is the entire process to gain Jotunn Catalyst in Destiny 2. Make sure to follow all the steps in the right order to get your Catalyst easily. All the best for your next battle in Destiny 2 with Jotunn Catalyst.
