- Reach Level 22 or above with a character to get one or more skills
- Complete Desperately Seeking Emma’s main mission
- Killing zombies of difficulty level will get you more skills
- Complete all main story and side quests. You can also complete non-optional quests as every quest rewards you with a skill or resource
- Level up your characters and this will reward you with skills and perks
- Complete the End of the Line and the Search for the Truth missions
