How to use the Wing Device in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?

Wings in Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

The first time you will encounter Wings will be before the fourth Shrine on Great Sky Island. You can also require the wings from the Zonai Device dispenser that is scattered across the open world of the legend of Zelta Tears of the kingdom. These are basically huge structures with a crystal ball on the top that you can interact with to get hands-on items like portable pots and fans.

You are required to spend items called Zonai Charges or Construct Horns at this dispenser. Like structure will appear in front of these dispenses that will result in a shortcut scene that ends with several orbs coming out of it. You can use these in your journey.

You can also find Wings in areas that have launch pads. These areas can be identified by a track-like groove in the middle of a stone platform. You will find them in Sky Islands in the Tears of the Kingdom.

once you get the wings you can use Link’s Ultrahand ability to place it on the rails on the platform. After doing this it will slide towards you so that you can hop on to it when it moves forward.

Follow the steps to control the wings efficiently:

  • Make sure that you stand in the center of the wing to head straight.
  • If you want to glide it upwards go to the tail area.
  • If you want to move in the downward direction slowly head to the front position of the wing
  • If you want to turn it left go to the left side of the wing and if you want to glide right go to the right side of the wing.

You can also use the steering stick that you can get from Zonai Device Dispenser to control the movement. This would cut off the need to move around the wing in the respective direction. With the starring stick, you can stay in one place and move the wing accordingly in your own direction.

Note that you can’t use this wing infinitely. You will get to know how when the time limit is near as it will be indicated to you through a green flash after which it will disappear. You can use the Link’s fuse ability to attach fans to the wing to increase its speed.

That’s how you control the wing in the Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. That’s everything to know about it.
