Predicted 4-4-2 Bournemouth XI to face Huddersfield Town in the Premier League

Bournemouth slumped to a 3-1 defeat against Manchester City away from home in the Premier League and the Cherries will be looking to turn their fortunes around when they play host to Huddersfield Town on Tuesday.

Eddie Howe’s men have lost their last four Premier League fixtures but they will be strong favourites when they face the Terriers in the mid-week game.

Huddersfield Town lost 2-1 to Brighton and Hove Albion in their last game and they will be up against it when they face the Cherries.

Team News

Dan Gosling is struggling with a knee injury and will be assessed ahead of Tuesday’s clash while Adam Smith is ruled out with a cartilage tear in his knee ligament.

Jefferson Lerma missed the game against Manchester City due to a suspension but the Colombian will be back in contention for the mid-week game.

Formation: 4-4-2

Manager: Eddie Howe

Predicted XI

1. Asmir Begovic (GK)

The veteran has been in good form between the sticks this season and Howe should continue to rely on him.

2. Simon Francis (RB)

He has been pretty solid at the back this season and it would be a bit unfair to judge him based on his display against City.

3. Nathan Ake (CB)

The Dutchman has been one of the pillars for Bournemouth at the back, putting in multiple solid shifts and his heading ability is always a huge asset to the backline.

4. Steve Cook (CB)

The Englishman has been really solid in the heart of the defence alongside Ake and should be on of the first names on the team sheet for this one.

5. Charlie Daniels (LB)

The veteran has given a good account of himself this season, solid at the back and has provided impetus to the attack.

6. Jefferson Lerma (CDM)

He has been one of the standout performers for the Cherries this season and Bournemouth should be happy to see him back after a suspension.

7. Lewis Cook (CDM)

He hasn’t been particularly good this season and will need to improve to keep his place in the team.

8. Ryan Fraser (LM)

The Scotsman has emerged as City’s assist-king this season and Bournemouth will need him to supply those inch-perfect crosses into the box on Tuesday.

9. David Brooks (RM)

The youngster did not start the last game but should be amongst the starters for this one.

10. Joshua King (ST)

He worked hard against Manchester City and created a few chances and Bournemouth will need him to continue his good work.

11. Callum Wilson (ST)

The Englishman seems to be on a goalscoring spree this season and he will once again be Bournemouth’s best bet to find the net on Tuesday.
