John Morgan is one of the most respected MMA journalists but Colby Covington wasn’t playing nice ahead of UFC 272
Colby Covington continued playing his heel role ahead of his big clash against Jorge Masvidal at UFC 272.
Chaos has called out Masvidal and several other superstars in the past, but his other target was John Morgan.
The incident took place in a press conference ahead of the big PPV, and Morgan got the first question in.
This was a pretty normal question asking Covington about dealing with big PPVs. However, Chaos flat out told Morgan to give him 10 push ups before he would provide an answer.
Morgan tried to skirt the requirement and then tried to do a quick turnaround with another question for Chaos.
However, Covington was having none of it and even called Morgan “flabby.”
“You think I am joking or what? I am serious flabby butt, you gotta get down and give me 10 push ups.”
Not the first time Covington has taken a shot at John Morgan
Covington had actually taken a shot at Morgan at UFC 268. Chaos was fighting Kamaru Usman for the UFC Welterweight title, and this was when the 10 push ups count started.
Morgan asked Covington a question and the UFC star claimed that the MMA reporter was a “clickbait merchant.”
He also told Morgan to drop and give him 10 push ups, even using the “flabby butt” term.
Nevertheless, Covington has a tough task on hand at UFC 272. He might be confident coming into the clash but this rivalry with Masvidal seems more than personal.
Gamebred and Covington have made several nasty comments over the past few months. It will be interesting to see who gets the win and the bragging rights on Saturday.
