Defending F1 champion Lewis Hamilton shared a positive message ahead of the 2020 F1 season as he guns for his seventh title.
The British star is one behind the legendary Michael Schumacher and has won five titles in the last six years.
Hamilton also had one title from his McLaren days and in a recently released video, he claimed that things were a little different in his training regime this time.
However, he did speak about the seventh title (for him and Mercedes) but couldn’t guarantee it given how the other teams are trying to catch up with the Silver Arrows:
“I know that you guys are all gunning for #7 but I’m just going to take it one step at a time.
“I have no idea, we have no idea where we are going to stand compared to everybody else. We just have to try and be more efficient this year and we still have a lot of work to do.”
Mercedes recently showcased their new livery and it featured a new partner in INEOS. However, the defending champions have conceded that there are some small issues to deal with and testing should reveal what the pace is for each team.
The champion added that he hasn’t been all that active on social media recently but claimed he was happy to be back.
Hamilton had earlier said he would be more active on Twitter too, and it will be interesting to see what updates he has in store for his followers.
The Mercedes star also added that winter has been great for him and so was spending time with his father.
A recharged Hamilton in a Silver Arrow could be a problem for most of his rivals, and that could mean a seventh driver’s title under his belt.
