Mattia Binotto was speaking about the Ferrari drivers and had something to say about Charles Leclerc too

Ferrari boss Mattia Binotto was in a jovial mood recently as he spoke about Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel.

The Ferrari pair had their problems last season as they clashed a number of times when it comes to strategies.

Leclerc often questioned the team’s moves while the pair also had an accident at the Brazilian Grand Prix.

However, the pair seem to be more experienced now and Binotto claimed that they were the best pair in F1, though they were difficult to deal with too (h/t Marca):

“Vettel and Leclerc are the best couple of all Formula 1, but sometimes they make you suffer.”

Leclerc was the hotshot who proved that he could be a star as he won two races.

However, F1 racers have some risky past-times, and Binotto wasn’t happy with Leclerc sky-diving during the off-season:

“I still haven’t forgiven him.”

The F1 head added that Leclerc confirmed he wouldn’t be doing this anymore:

“But he has told me that he will not do it again and that he has understood it.”

Youthful exuberance was on show from the 22-year-old last year too as he often had a go at his team on the radio.

Leclerc also apologised several times when he made a mistake on the track, and hopefully, he will be more consistent this season.

Ferrari have to keep their drivers in check

Vettel might have been the more experienced racer in the team, but the four-time world champion made several errors that cost Ferrari.

He also had a go at Leclerc in some races and it will be interesting to see how they do as a pair this time around.

Leclerc is the one for the future and Ferrari have to back him. However, Vettel has championship-winning experience, and that is important when dealing with the Mercedes pair.
