Wolves Opinion: Moussa Marega signing would be a massive boost
According to a recent report by The Mirror, Nuno Espirito Santo’s Wolverhampton Wanderers side are said to be extremely keen on bringing Mali international forward Moussa Marega to The Molineux. The report is claiming a fee in the region of £30m and the striker is keen on making a switch to the Premier League.
It has been claimed that the Wolves chiefs have officially made Marega their top transfer priority as they look to strengthen their rather bleak attack line.
The back-up bunch at the Molineux certainly haven’t performed up to standard this term and their dependence on Raul Jimenez and Diogo Jota for goals is a worrying factor as well.
Wolves have very much been the surprise package of the Premier League season and despite just being promoted from the Championship last summer, they’ve managed to announce themselves quite well. While a 7th place finish would probably not have been possible in the wildest dreams of the Wolves fans at the start of the season, that’s where they finished.
Having been branded the best of the rest by securing that all-important place in next season’s Europa League, things are certainly taking a turn for the better in Wolverhampton.
They will be looking to make a name for themselves in the league and slowly but surely rise to the same level as the Premier League’s top-6 clubs – a few of whom they beat last season.
While everything has looked positive at Wolves, the addition of another striker certainly wouldn’t hurt their cause.
With 22 of their total goals coming courtesy of the aforementioned Jota and Jimenez, some freshening up in attack would certainly come as a welcome change and the man being mentioned for the job is Porto striker Moussa Marega.
The Mali international forward has been in very good form this season and the fact that he can play anywhere across the front-line will also come as an added boost. His strong running and powerful play will add something new to the Wolves arsenal and his finishing abilities are one of the highlights of his football as well.

Since moving from Guimaraes to join Porto in 2017, Marega has transformed into a crucial player and his figures of 11 goals and 7 assists from 29 league games are quite impressive too.
He would certainly be a massive addition to any of the Premier League’s top sides and Wolves will do well to get this transfer done at the earliest.
