WWE star Roman Reigns is hopeful of featuring at WrestleMania 36 after failing to win the Royal Rumble.
The Big Dog was speaking on Super Saturday Night ahead of the Super Bowl, and was asked about his road to WrestleMania.
Reigns was the final elimination in the match after Drew McIntyre turned things around. It seemed that The Big Dog was heading to the biggest show in wrestling but The Scot had other plans.
McIntyre decided to face Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship. That left Bray Wyatt on SmackDown without a fight at WrestleMania, something that Reigns was speaking about:
“You have to give a lot of respect to Drew. He capitalised, it was a pretty clutch performance on his behalf.
“But he chose Brock, so that leaves an opening for the Universal Championship, so that’s gonna make SmackDown on Friday nights very interesting.”
Reigns didn’t confirm he was to face Wyatt for the title and was working towards making another WrestleMania appearance.
“We’ve got a lot of stories to tell and we have to get to that point. There’s a lot that can go down in the next couple of months. We’re going to have to see, I don’t even know what’s going to go down. At this point, I’m on my heels man.”
Ever since Wyatt brought out ‘The Fiend’ gimmick, he has terrorised the SmackDown roster.
Bray has beaten The Miz and Daniel Bryan easily, and prior to that, he also tortured Seth Rollins to win the title.
It would make sense for SmackDown to keep a big fight between Wyatt and Reigns at WrestleMania, but for some reason, that story hasn’t even started yet.
