Tottenham take on Antwerp in their second group stage game of the Europa League. Mourinho’s men are in splendid form and won their opening group game against LASK. They are also unbeaten in all competitions since the opening day of the season.
Antwerp, on the other hand, are on a roll of their own with five successive victories preceding this game. Both teams are in good attacking form and we can expect goals from this fixture.
Only Japhet Tanganga and Eric Dier remain out with injuries while Joe Rodon isn’t a part of the squad due to registration issues. Other than that, Mourinho will have all of his options. Changes will be expected though, with some fringe players getting the nod.
The veteran Englishman should get his chance in the cup competitions this season.
Alderweireld will have to start his one too as Spurs don’t have too many centre-backs to call upon.
Rested for the last European outing. Will be expected to return to his duties for this one.
Another player who might be given a run out to ease some of the load on Matt Doherty.
Replaces Ben Davies and should be raring to go after missing the Burnley game. Will be vital in providing attacking impetus from the left.
Will be tasked with screening the defence. Looked good in the LASK game alongside Hojbjerg.
The former Southampton man does not look one bit tired after so many games and will be expected to line up once again.
Lamela is slowly getting used to playing a more central role and is thriving in it too.
Should be given the nod ahead of Son, who might be given the night off.
Gareth Bale is looking better by each game and another start should help him get up to speed.
Two assists in the opening game and what a way to introduce yourself to the fans. Should expect another start, with Kane likely to stay on the bench.
