Dream Man United XI featuring Bruno Fernandes, Erling Haaland and Gareth Bale
Manchester United’s woes from the previous term continue to haunt them this season. Despite a managerial change and with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the helm, things have gone from bad to worse for the Red Devils. Currently placed 7th, they face an uphill battle to even secure a top-four spot, thus putting their Champions League ambitions for the next season at stake.
The upcoming January window will be a crucial one for the Manchester-based outfit. As of now, they have been linked with moves for Erling Haaland (h/t Evening Standard), Bruno Fernandes (h/t Daily Mail) and Gareth Bale (h/t The Sun).
With that in mind, here’s how the Red Devils could line-up with their new targets.
Possible Man United XI featuring Haaland, Bale and Fernandes
David De Gea (GK)
The Spaniard is an indispensable member for United and his mere presence is capable of making a world of difference.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka (RB)
The former Crystal Palace ace is filled with potential and he has all the tools needed to make the right-back spot his for the near future.
Harry Maguire (CB)
Although Maguire is yet to set the stage on fire, he has definitely brought about some stability in their backline.
Victor Lindelof (CB)
An able partner for Maguire so far, Lindelof should retain his spot in the heart of the defence.
Luke Shaw (LB)
Although he has been out with a hamstring injury, a recent report from The Sun has claimed that the player is edging close to a return.
Scott McTominay (CM)
One of United’s better performers this season, there is no reason for him to not be included in this line-up.
Bruno Fernandes (CAM)
United are in dire need of a creative boost and Fernandes could be the solution to their long-term midfield woes.
Fred (CM)
Despite putting in some lukewarm displays the last term, Fred’s performances have improved and he deserves to retain his spot.
Marcus Rashford (LW)
Although United’s attack has looked lifeless on numerous occasions, the youngster has done his reputation no harm and has put in some inspired displays so far.
Gareth Bale (RW)
Bale might be nearing his twilight years as a footballer but with his experience, vision and goalscoring nous, the Red Devils would be capable of scoring more goals.
Erling Haaland (ST)
The fiery striker is in excellent form right now. If he can hit the same heights at Old Trafford, United can stop worrying about their attacking issues.
