Watford welcome West Ham at Vicarage Road on Sunday hoping to finish in the top half of the Premier League table.
The Hornets are currently tenth in the standings with 50 points, just a point above 11th placed West Ham. A defeat against the Hammers would see them finish their season 11th in the table.
Watford boss Javi Gracia knows the importance of Sunday’s game and will look to prepare in the best possible manner ahead of the next weekend’s FA Cup final against Manchester City.
Etienne Capoue missed the defeat against Chelsea at the weekend due to a groin problem, but he has fully recovered ahead of Sunday’s clash.
Ben Foster has enjoyed a fantastic season in goal for the Hornets and should continue on Sunday against West Ham.
Femenia has done well this season and will have to be at his best against an unpredictable West Ham side.
Mariappa has received regular opportunities of late in defence and is expected to be in the XI on Sunday.
After a strong start to the season, Craig Cathcart has been a bit suspect at the back, yet, Gracia is likely to go with him in central defence.
As Holebas is Watford’s first-choice at left-back and should start in the FA Cup final against City, Masina is expected to operate at left-back against the Hammers.
Hughes’ form has tailed off lately, but he is one of the first names on Gracia’s team sheet.
The Frenchman has been one of the best players for Watford this season. He is certainty to keep his place in the team.
Capoue missed the 3-0 defeat at Chelsea due to injury. But, he has recovered from it and is expected to walk straight back into the starting XI.
The Argentine brings a different dimension to the Watford attack with his flair, movement and link-up play. His consistency has been an issue, although Gracia has continued selecting him in his team.
The Spaniard is one of the in-form players in the team. His pace, directness and clever movement could give West Ham defenders a lot of problem at Vicarage Road.
