Predicted Manchester United XI to face Sheffield United in the Premier League
In a late Thursday kickoff in the Premier League, Manchester United visit Sheffield United. The Red Devils have endured a bit of mixed form with 2 wins in their last 5 games but have been performing well in the league, holding Manchester City to a stalemate in the last game.
Sheffield United are in a huge rut and that is putting it mildly. The Blades have secured just one point from their 12 games and are at the bottom of the pile. It wouldn’t take a genius to call Manchester United as favorites for this one given how good their away form has been.
Team News
Manchester United and Solskjaer will have a few injuries to deal with. Phil Jones still remains out with a knee injury. Edinson Cavani could play some part in the game after missing the last two but might not be deemed fit for a start. Elsewhere, Anthony Martial seems to have fully recovered and could feature in a more prominent role. There are no other injuries or suspensions.
Probable Manchester United XI
Formation: 4-2-3-1
David De Gea (GK)
A relatively quiet outing last time around. Keeps his place for the time being.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka (RB)
The once impenetrable Wan-Bissaka is showing cracks in his defensive game and will need some confidence to get back to his best.
Victor Lindelof (CB)
Probably one of his better games in a red shirt. Should be looking to build on that display.
Harry Maguire (CB)
The skipper needs to lead by example and show that they still have it. He also needs to improve defensively.
Alex Telles (LB)
Will likely take Shaw’s spot for this one to give the Englishman some rest. Hasn’t been too shabby in his outings.
Scott McTominay (DM)
The youngster has been in consistent form and should continue in his position.
Fred (DM)
Emerging as one of their most important players, Fred brings drive and energy into the side.
Bruno Fernandes (AM)
Perhaps one of his quieter displays in the last game but should be ready to have a crack against the bottom placed side.
Juan Mata (RW)
Mata could well be brought in for this game. The Spaniard can crack open the meanest of defences with his creativity.
Marcus Rashford (LW)
Has looked off colour in the last few games and needs some goals to get back his mojo.
Anthony Martial (ST)
The Frenchman could be handed another chance to lead the line and make his case for continuing as the team’s leading forward.
