Premier League champions Manchester City will take on Watford in the FA Cup final at Wembley on May 18.
The Cityzens will be aiming to win the domestic treble having already secured the Carabao Cup and the Premier League. Pep Guardiola’s side wrapped up the Premier League title with a 4-1 win over Brighton & Hove Albion at the weekend, ultimately finishing just a point above second-placed Liverpool.
Watford, on the other hand, will look to defy the odds by beating Manchester City to the FA Cup trophy on Saturday.
Fernandinho has missed games against Burnley, Leicester and Brighton due to a knee problem and looks a big doubt for the FA Cup final as well.
Other than him, Guardiola has no injury concerns ahead of the game.
Ederson has enjoyed a brilliant campaign between the sticks and will look to sign off with a flourish in the FA Cup final.
The Englishman has been a consistent performer for Manchester City since his arrival from Spurs and he is expected to continue in his preferred right-back role against Watford.
The skipper guided City to the title at the weekend and he should retain his place for the big game on Saturday.
Laporte has been sensational at the back and he has been one of the main reasons why City have tasted enormous success this season. He is expected to partner Kompany at the Wembley.
Zinchenko has made the left-back position his own this term and he’ll again be preferred ahead of Mendy at the back.
Scored a fantastic free-kick in the 4-1 drubbing of Brighton at the weekend. With Fernandinho doubtful, the German will have the important task of guarding City’s defence, whilst also helping out the attack from deep.
The Spaniard’s creativity from midfield will be important against a well-drilled Watford side that will sit deep and try hitting on the counter.
City’s best player this season, Silva has been incredible and he’ll look to guide his club to the domestic treble at the weekend.
Guardiola started Mahrez in the most important game of the season at the weekend and the Algerian repaid the manager’s faith. He’s a certain starter against Watford.
Sterling’s improvement under Guardiola over the last 3 seasons have been phenomenal. The England international is an undoubted starter on the left of the front three.
