Indi Hartwell has enjoyed massive success, ever since she joined the NXT in 2019. The Australian wrestler has already won the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship once, and it looks like she will only go strength to strength from here.
Indi Hartwell made her debut in March 2016, when she was 19. She predominantly performed in her home country Australia, across various promotions like SHIMMER, RISE and World Series Wrestling.
Three years later, on the 7th of November, 2019, Hartwell made her WWE debut in the NXT. Her televised debut, came two months later in January 2020.
Three months later, she made a one-off appearance in the main roster, taking on Shayna Baszler, which Hartwell lost due to the referee’s decision after Baszler injured her arm.
Her first win in the WWE came on the 15th of July, 2020. It was against Shotzi Blackheart.
In December 2020, Hartwell became a part of a faction called The Way, alongside Candice LeRae, Austin Theory and Johnny Gargano.
The team of LeRae and Hartwell made it until the semi-finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, before being eliminated by Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart.
In May 2021, Hartwell won her first WWE Championship after becoming the NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions following a victory over Blackheart and Moon.
However, their reign ended in 63 days, after they were defeated by Io Shirai and Zoey Stark at the Great American Bash.
Indi Hartwell is believed to have a net worth of around $500,000. However, this might shoot up if she keeps her momentum going.
Being relatively new to the promotion, her salary per year is somewhere around $100,000 for the year 2021.
Indi Hartwell was born on the 17th of August, 1996. She was born in Melbourne Australia. Not much is known about her parents, except her mother’s name – Denhysse de Martin. She also has an elder brother named Corey Martin.
Indi Hartwell was in a relationship with Australian professional wrestler Tome Filip. He plies his trade in an Australian wrestling promotion. However, judging by their social media accounts, it looks like the pair have broken up.
In what is dubbed as modern-day Macho Man and Elizabeth romance, Indi Hartwell and fellow NXT Superstar Dexter Lumis are bringing the heat to the promotion.
The pair have been inseparable, so much that the faction ‘The Way’ might split as a result of their relationship.
Hartwell’s teammate Johnny Gargano and Dexter Lumis faced off in a Love Her or Lose Her match.
After several back and forths, Gargano ended up being the winner, even as a distraught Hartwell looked on.
Following the conclusion of the match, LeRae and Gargano dragged Hartwell backstage. However, Hartwell broke loose and headed to the ring where a defeated Lumis was lying down.
The pair then embraced (lying down) in a lengthy smooch in the center of the ring.
It will be interesting to see how the Hartwell-Lumis relationship goes from here.
