Samantha De Martin or Indi Hartwell is one of WWE’s latest recruits to the Performance Center.
The WWE announced four members joining the Center which includes Scarlett Bordeaux and Shotzi Blackheart.
The trio of female wrestlers join referee Stephon Smith in the Florida Center as they start their WWE journey.
Hartwell certainly seems excited to have joined one of the biggest wrestling promotions in the world and already has called out one of their top stars for a fight.
Indi wants to face Sasha Banks and tweeted that she is looking forward to the match.
‘Impressive’ Indi Hartwell, as she is also known certainly has set her eyes high as Banks is one of the best female wrestlers in the WWE.
‘The Boss’ recently turned heel with her best friend Bayley, and she was attacked recently by NXT Champion Shayna Baszler.
Banks has also been partly responsible for the rise of women’s wrestling in the WWE and she, alongside, Bayley, Charlotte and Becky Lynch are collectively known as the Four Horsewomen during their time in NXT.
Who is Indi Hartwell?
The Australian claims that two of the Horsewomen, Banks and Bayley, have been inspirations for her, and it will be interesting to see how she does in the Center.
Hartwell claims that some of the best NXT bouts featuring Banks and Bayley got her interested in wrestling, and the 22-year-old has won several titles in Australia and promotions such as SHIMMER (h/t WWE).
The 22-year-old came through the PCW Academy and was born in Melbourne, Australia.
She has lifted several titles during her short wrestling career, but she has a lot of work to do after joining the WWE.
What does the future hold for Hartwell?
The first step would be to make it to NXT, and it will be interesting to see how she does in the third brand of the WWE.
Facing Banks in a match cannot be ruled out if she does well at NXT. The recent invasion storyline before Survivor Series just shows that there could be inter-brand matches later on too.
Banks has had some of the greatest female matches during her time in the WWE, and she will have a role to play at Survivor Series too.
Hartwell has impressed in her short career so far and joining the WWE is a big step for her.
However, the hard work starts now and it will be interesting to keep an eye on Hartwell.
