The Canadian youngster followed it up with another solid performance to beat 27th seed Francisco Cerundolo 7-5, 6-4 in the round of 32. Auger-Aliassime had a win percentage of 76 on the first serve and converted 4 out of 8 break points.

In the round of 16, Auger-Aliassime came back from a set down to beat 17th seed, Tommy Paul 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 (8-6). The 22-year-old smashed 12 aces and had a win percentage of 78 on the first serve.
