The American duo of John Isner and Jack Sock face Matthew Ebden and Rohan Bopanna in the semifinals of the 2023 Indian Wells on Friday.

The defending champions began the tournament with a hard-fought win against the 3rd-seeded team of Jean-Julien Rojer and Marcelo Arevalo. Isner and Sock lost the first set but came back strongly to win the match 6-7 (6-8), 7-5, 10-7. They smashed 9 aces and had a win percentage of 78 on the first serve. In the round of 16, Sock and Isner put on a solid show to get the better of Fabrice Martin and Kevin Krawietz in what was another close match. Sock and Isner won 7-6 (10-8), 6-4. In this encounter, Sock and Isner had a win percentage of 79 on the first serve and 91 on the second serve.
In the quarterfinals, Isner and Sock produced their best performance of the tournament and eased past the Italian duo of Fabio Fognini and Simone Bolelli, winning in straight sets 6-2, 6-4. Isner and Sock had a win percentage of 87 on the first serve and converted 3 out of 5 break points. Their serve has not been broken so far in the tournament.
Matthew Ebden & Rohan Bopanna
The Australian-Indian duo also had a tough encounter to begin their campaign. They defeated the team of David Vega Hernandez and Rafael Matos 7-5, 3-6, 10-6, converting 4 out of 7 break points and smashing 8 aces in the process. In the round of 16, Bopanna and Ebden received a walkover as the team of Grigor Dimitrov and Hubert Hurkacz pulled out prior to the match.
In the quarterfinals, Ebden and Bopanna produced a comprehensive performance to get the better of the Canadian duo of Felix Auger-Aliassime and Denis Shapovalov in straight sets 6-4, 7-5.
