AEW CEO Tony Khan put out an advert on Impact Wrestling and claimed he was thinking of buying the promotion

Tuesday was a huge day in the world of professional wrestling as AEW ‘invaded’ Impact Wrestling.

Kenny Omega made his voice heard as he wanted to become a collector of titles and suggested that the Impact title was on his mind.

Kenny Omega (L) and Cody Rhodes (C) are two of the top draws on AEW

Don Callis helped Omega win the title from Jon Moxley thanks to a screw-job on AEW Dynamite last week. However, it was extremely shocking to hear Callis say that Omega would explain his actions on Tuesday, when Impact was shown.

Tony Khan, the CEO of AEW, also cut an advert in between all this with Tony Schiavone. He claimed that this paid ad would help Impact Wrestling and even spoke about buying the promotion.

Is Khan serious about buying Impact Wrestling?

Khan is one of the richest people in the world and if he wanted to buy Impact Wrestling, he can do so easily, with the right amount of money.

His family already owns Fulham, a Premier League football club, and the Jacksonville Jaguars in the NFL.

Should Khan buy Impact, it would certainly help the finances of the company. They don’t have the budget of WWE and he could form a huge promotion with both Impact and AEW together.

Rich Swann is currently on Impact and a former WWE star (WWE)

However, it seems unlikely that Khan is serious in buying the promotion. This was a bit of a shoot with Schiavone and a way to ensure people were interested in this invasion.

Impact and AEW have tied up, it seems, and it will be interesting to see what happens on Wednesday.

AEW Dynamite should see some of the Impact stars on their show and this could be another blockbuster event.

Impact and AEW have some amazing stars and pairing up makes a ton of sense. They need all the help they can to battle WWE and this is could be something amazing in the long run.
