Alexa Bliss made a surprise appearance as Sister Abigail in the Swamp Fight between Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman
Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman facing off in the Swamp Fight was the main event Extreme Rules 2020.
This wasn’t a normal ring side match as the clash took place in Wyatt’s swamp. WWE has done cinematic matches in recent months, and they produced another brilliant clash.
Wyatt was in the Eater of the Worlds gimmick throughout the clash as he tortured and tormented Strowman. He even kidnapped the champion and threatened him with dire consequences, but one moment caught the attention of many.
Strowman was lured in by a mysterious figure, who was Alexa Bliss. She claimed that Strowman had wanted to be with her and this allowed Wyatt to attack Strowman too.
While Bliss and Strowman go a long way back as a tag team pair, this was an interesting part of the match.
WWE certainly played with the mind of Strowman as they brought out Bliss in this clash. We have seen in the past that Wyatt brought out the story of Sister Abigail but there hasn’t been a physical presence to back it up.
We had dealt deep into who Sister Abigail really is, and it is unlikely that Bliss is actually a part of the Wyatt Family.
Wyatt has the ability to bring supernatural aspects into his clashes, and he did the same in this one too. Using Bliss to lure Strowman was possibly a way to get an advantage on the champion.
Bliss and Strowman teased a relationship while they were a tag team in WWE. However, WWE didn’t push on with those plans as both stars continued their own storylines.
In fact, Strowman and Bliss haven’t even been linked one bit since the Monster amongst men became the champion.
However, this was a great move by WWE to bring Bliss into the picture. They remembered how Strowman and Bliss were romantically linked, and credit must be given to them for using this in the clash.
