Roman Reigns, Paul Heyman and Apollo Crews (WWE)
Is Apollo Crews really joining Roman Reigns after one special segment?
WWE SmackDown got to see a new and improved Apollo Crews on the show as he took on Sami Zayn.
This was the first time we were seeing the high flyer since his rather incredible segment with Paul Heyman last week.
The pair were on Talking Smack and Heyman angered Crews by laying down the truth. The Advocate claimed that Crews was much better than he is currently and he seems to not become more ruthless in his quest for WWE gold.
This was also coming after a hard fought loss to Big E for the Intercontinental title. Crews then got the win over Zayn using some underhand tactics and even challenged E for a title shot in the future but grabbing the gold.
However, there was an interesting bit before this match. Jey Uso and Shinsuke Nakamura had fought and the camera panned to Reigns’ suite.
He had Paul Heyman speaking to him but Crews was also sitting beside him and listening intently.
Crews posted a grab of that moment and this got a lot of people talking.
The most obvious question is if Crews was going to be the next member of Reigns’ stable. Currently, The Head of the Table only has his cousin, Jey Uso, beside him. In all probability, Jimmy Uso would also join them when he is cleared for action.
Crews for his part, might have been motivated by Heyman and Reigns during this segment to go out and do more.
He did that against Zayn and sent a message to Big E too. Crews should get another crack at E’s gold in the future, but him joining Reigns seems to be a bit of a stretch for now.
WWE could be hinting that for the future but Crews was not part of the gang when Reigns was signing the contract for the Royal Rumble.
Only Uso and Heyman were there are they tried to pressurize Adam Pearce. However, the WWE executive turned the tables on the trio as Kevin Owens took his place in the Rumble main event.
Crews joining Reigns would only be better for his career. He would always be in the limelight and Heyman could work close with him.
Further, working with Reigns also has its benefits. Jey Uso has become one of the best singles performers in the business after being a tag champion with his brother for a long time. Crews could be part of this gang but he isn’t from the same family and that could be the major obstacle.
However, Crews has all the ingredients to become a fantastic champion, and Reigns and Heyman can cook this up for sure.
