Bo Nickal confirmed his wife is pregnant at UFC 290 after defeating Val Wooburn
There was some excellent news from Bo Nickal regarding his family at UFC 290. The undefeated UFC star took on promotional debutant Val Woodburn.
Nickal picked up the win in under 40 seconds with a flurry of punches sending his 29-year-old opponent down.
This took Nickal’s record to 5-0 in his MMA career, and there was to say for the 27-year-old. While Nickal spoke about his future MMA plans, he also mentioned that he would go home next and start hunting.
“Right now, I will go back home, set my bow, September, elk season.”
He then broke the news that his wife, Maddie, is expecting a child, and he wanted to be a good husband and father.
“One more thing, Madeline… I love you so much, I am a husband, am also going to be a father soon, my wife is pregnant.
“It’s really cool to knock people out in an octagon, I just did it, and it’s really cool but it’s even cooler to be a good husband and a good dad and that’s what’s most important to me in life.”
Who will Bo Nickal fight next?
Nickal is one of the rising stars in the UFC right now, and he was asked by Rogan who he wanted to fight next.
Instead of naming a big fighter or a ranked one, Nickal provided the perfect answer. The 27-year-old claimed that he just wanted to fight whoever they put in front of him, and left all of this to management.
“At this point, I don’t really care who Hunter and Dana and my management team say, I will take them out, it doesn’t matter.”
The 27-year-old has been impressive in his UFC career and a few more wins could get him a title shot in the future.
Nickal has a great wrestling record before his time in MMA. However, he has finished all five of his fights with three submissions to his name.
The other two wins have been a KO and a TKO, which is impressive for someone from a wrestling background.
